2016 Crowd Watch

Oh God I hope it rains all day and there is a really small crowd at Belmore.

On a side note, had a great night on Saturday at Campbelltown. Good little ground that one with plenty of atmosphere. Leagues club right there for pre and post drinks and a feed, plenty of bars in the ground a good vibe and great weather. Would go back for sure.

 What do you expect when 200 Penrith fans travel for the game at Parramatta?

The game at Penrith is always 50/50 or close to it meaning 7-9K Parramatta fans go.

Big test tonight at Belmore... Monday night at a suburban ground, raining all day, muddy hills etc.

I have been to this fixture plenty of times and what you are saying is complete and unmitigated bullshit. Parra are a bigger and much more well supported club, no question. Their contingent of supporters at away games dwarves that of Penrith. But they do not come close to accounting for 50% of the crowd at Penrith... 30% tops.

I hate to say it but Raiderdave is actually right in this case. Parra fans simply have bigger fish to fry whereas Penrith don't really have any other rivals...Wests or Canterbury maybe at a stretch

Looks very poor. Is the pre game carry on recorded a bit earlier? If not, I doubt they're cracking double figures at the moment.

I live on the border of st george/Canterbury territory, not far from belmore and was interested in going down for a bo peep tonight. Canterbury fans at work told me not to bother as it was sold out. Guess not.

I have always been interested in this. Where is the divide between the two districts?

Not as clear as the Sharks rivalry obviously. I'm in the bexley north end of earlwood and if you ask me that's pretty close to the border on this front. Bexley=saints. The Canterbury/marrickville parts more doggies. This sort of tribal aspect gets more blurred by day however.

Would have always happened. Those "Back to Belmore" games were promoted as an event, great way to draw in casual fan. Crowd looks okay tonight given Monday and Canberra.

Would imagine a Sunday arvo would sell out?

Novelty wearing off here

It has grown substantially as the game goes on. I would guess 14k

On a side note i have always thought the monday game should be kicking off closer to 7.30 as the crowd never seems to max out until 20minutes in so why not give folks a chance to get the most for their money
