With good reason Dave, preliminary finals are events regardless of who's taking the field. It was the case in the early 90s and still is. The games attract neutrals, it's a fact. People get excited at this time of year because the footy is of a higher quality.

If you want to ignore it for a roundabout argument you can't let go of, be my guest.
I think the Sharks v Cowboys is a hard sell compared to other well known Sydney teams but would love to see some sort of NRL tactic to get fans from other clubs out for final's time's whatever club plus also CIU Social teams, youth teams and Touch and Tag... the numbers are there for amateur/social Rugby League players/admin/family's of the club's alongside the non contact forms of Tag and Touch to support all pro teams in Sydney.

SMH saying that 30,000 expected tonight. Hopefully it can bump up to 35,000 but will depend on members I suppose.

The top deck was nearly sold out now it looks almost completely empty.

28,759.

Yeah, can still buy 10+ tickets in nearly every bay on the top deck Eastern side. Bit of a worry.

Yeah ,all this talk of near 40000 was just people getting carried away with the occasion.
Reality is the Sharks are a small club, playing an out of town side who'll bring 5 fans with them , at a venue that is hard to access at the best of times, let alone on a Friday night

30000 would be a very good effort.

Allianz is not hard to access for most Sharks supporters.

It is a 40 minute train ride from the stadium at Woolooware and about 50minutes on a bus from the leaguesy.

Wasn't just talking about sharks fans
More so neutrals who would be put off with the effort required. And ticket sales would
suggest they aren't going to put in the effort.

I love how Dave talks up his own team which has a lesser average than Cronulla, but talks them down.

Yeah Allianz stadium which is just outside the CBD, is a walk from Central and is on a main bus route is pretty hard to get to.

Should've had it at Bruce.

I noticed that too,but let it go through to keeper. He is certainly one of a kind.
I'd be more concerned about my team winning this weekend ,than having a shot at another team's crowd involved.
