Jersey selection isn't the sole choice of clubs - the NRL has to approve each set of playing strips. Same in the A-League and AFL.

This is what I don't get - we've got a blue & white kit, and a blue & black kit. They've got a red green & white kit, and a red green & black kit.

Instead of, I dunno, using two contrasting kits - the blue/black and red/green/black combos were played against each other, and in R26 no doubt the white ones will be used.

Stupid.

Assuming they only wear it for away games, are there any other games this year that the Bulldogs could wear the blue and black? It has to be worn at least once this year so maybe the Souths game was the one.

It'll get a run in Canberra again, and probably Dragons as well. Maybe one or two others. We have a tech-looking version of it to wear at some point as well - our "alternate" strip.

Without harping on it, get rid of that bearcat on the front and yeah, it actually looks pretty good. Modern version if you combined the chocolate soldiers and licorice allsorts jerseys.

The gold jersey worn yesterday is the alternate, as opposed to the away jersey which is the pink. I would not mind at all if a design similar to that was adopted as the home strip from 2017.

That's four jerseys in four weeks, and by all reports there's still two to come this season. Ridiculous IMO, even for an anniversary season.
