Hodgson was lucky not to tear the guys head clean off, he shouldn't be playing another game this year.

It wasnt as bad as sam burgess on barba imo and that attracted a grade 2 charge which would have been 250 points (so just under 200 with an early plea) so thats 1 to 2 weeks.

A grade 3 charge (which i cant recall ever seeing. If someone can remember one as a reference point) is 400 points so 300 with the early plea so 3 to 4 weeks.

The only way he wouldnt be playing another game all year is if he got a higher grading than that and if you believe it should attract a grade 4 or 5 then you are insane

Why would it matter if the smith and Hodgson tackle were the same. The MRC wouldn't remember what the smith grading was and then Would have just interpreted the Hodgson one on how they felt that particular day.

Hodgson was charged. I just don't get the people out braying for blood. The base points on a grapple tackle are such that Hodgson would either need a lot of carry over points or to have been slapped with a grade 4 or higher to give the whingers (mostly sharks fans weirdly) the suspension that they want.

It's like any charge, there's debate about whether the grading was severe enough for what Hodgson did. I haven't seen anyone outside Canberra fans suggest the one week suspension was sufficient.

They were from f**king round 1 or 2 iirc.

Was before they started taking points off for each week played.

If we had the current system Smith would have been available for the grand final.

May have only been 36-0 instead of 40 if that was the case.
