I know Souths have been ringing around for 2016.

They want more people locked in to the rolling payment option and not renewing year by year.

Good to see Sharks are jumping in early.

Have some good things coming in this year, including:
- Return of the members jersey
- A Premium option for Country/Interstate memebrs
- Members seat buyback scheme - This is if a member can't make it, they can open their seat up for sale, and if sold, they'll get money off their 2017 membership.
- Members rewards program
- Bulk Billing for members at Southern Radiology.

Yeah i got a text off them last week for some reason.

They also had the membership tent set up at Allianz on Sunday. Thinking about signing my son up for next season.

Does anyone actually care about membership numbers anymore?

They don't seem to be doing much for clubs and the numbers we see are pretty basic, I have no doubts some clubs are fudging them.

I think we've got it the wrong way around, we thought memberships would make fans feel more engaged with their club when in reality we should've focused our time as a game on ACTUALLY engaging fans and then hopefully seeing crowds & memberships rise as a response to that.

Souffs will be very interesting. If their fans have th3 same passion as the last few weeks it could get quite embarrassing for the pride of the league.

Seat buybacks are pretty common in the North American majors. When you spend thousands on season tix it's nice to get some back.

Yeah Parramatta had them last year. I always managed to forget to do it when I couldn't go. Instead of price off next years membership, it was discounts off items from the fan shop.

How would it work here where games are rarely sold out? Surely clubs will sell tickets that they make money on first. Or is the option given to the purchaser?
