Lynch to the Saints! Saucy!

I don't mind it, if a team in the top half of the draft has talked themselves into him and think he's the future then they have to take him round 1.

All your mocks are wrong.

Who would've thunk the Rams would do this? Not sure if i should be happy or sad or both at the same time.

Sounds like it's for Wentz. I'm not going to pretend I know anything about him but I'm reading he is more a good development qb and probably needs a few seasons.

Love that everyone's mocks are already wrong.

I love it for both teams... If there's a QB you think is the future then by all means go get em... I won't heap shit on the Rams for that...

And for the Titans they obviously get a heap of decent picks to bring in quality guys.

It's good for the others in the top 5... Ramsey & Tunsil will probably be available when everyone thought they wouldn't be.

If they pick up a franchise QB then no they haven't.

Big if though and if the gamble doesn't pay off they haven;t left themselves with much to work with in the following years draft to rectify the situation.

Interesting that all the latest mocks have the Rams taking Wentz and the Browns bypassing Goff for either the Cowboys or 9ers to take him.

Yeah spot on, we wont know for 3 years if they have given too much up

The skins did, but it didnt look that way in year 1. If they land the franchise QB, no one will bat an eyelid.

i think this is the rams thinking.

they've had plenty of premium draft picks and draft picks in general. because of sam's injuries they never got the chance to take advantage of them since backup qbs have been behind centre for the last 3 years. in the meantime their draft picks from 2012 came up for fa and half bolted for big money and the other half stayed for big money. the rams have drafted well and this situation will play out year after year.

1- they need a qb to lead the team
2 - they need to pay alot of their players soon
3 - they are under pressure to make a splash this season
4 - they need to have a winner when they move into their new stadium in 2019
5 - a qb in free agency, if any become available and even if he's average, will cost alot of money

why not sacrifice draft picks to get their qb cheaply and kill two birds with the one stone. having their qb on cheap money and having little to no premuim draft picks the next two seasons means they will have the money to pay whoever they want to keep.

but it can only work if that qb can play.

I think this ultimately comes down to the move to LA.
The idea of starting a franchise in LA, with a team lead by Case Keenum was always ridiculous. They needed to make a splash and get the LA market excited and invested.

It's basically going to be Wentz/Goff, Gurley, Donald... all young, all potentially great leading the charge.
If Wentz/Goff (and i think it's Wentz) is a franchise QB, the Rams could win a SB in the next 2-3 years

They'll need to find themselves a WR in Free Agency, but that's pretty much all they need

49ers have traded up to 4th pick. Swapped with Dallas.

My bad, it's what cbs sports thinks will happen

i like their wrs. they just need a qb who can get them the ball on time.
