Apparently Jaylon Smith from ND failed his medical yesterday,

Apparently there's nerve damage to his knee and he's going to be out all next season.

Very sad as he was looking like a top 10-15 pick before his injury.

A lot of teams have devides they won't draft him at all.... IMO...he'd be worth using a 4th, 5th or 6th rounder on....

Also what's up with Cardelle Jones?? Where does everyone think he's going to go?

Very sad was a great player, may not go until the 3rd day now, hoping for the best for him.

Jones should have come out last year, 3rd day as well

If I'm a team with a franchise QB who's getting up in age.... I'd consider drafting jones in the 3rd... And have him come in and sit for a couple of seasons to learn the pro game before taking over full time eventually.

Maybe the Cardinals or the Saints or the Chargers or even the Giants or Steelers.

The kids got very special arm talent... A rare arm... And his combination of arm talent and size make him very rare.

He just needs extra time to sit in a pro-system and learn behind a pro.

I think the Cardinals are the exact type of team that's going to draft him.

Could see Chip Kelly taking him abit early on day 2 if they dont go QB in the first round

Yeah... Has has the tools... He just needs time to develop.

What's everyone's thoughts on Mckensie Alexander?? He's a guy being talked about as a potential for us at 14.... He certainly has some swag... But I wonder if his ass can cash some of those cheques his mouth has been writing...

Ramsey and Hargrives are the consensus top 2 of the DB class.... But this Alexander kid has made it clear to everyone that he feels he's number 1...

I have closes followed this.

I think Tennessee to have a break through season, draft whomever and get a free trade OT, they will win their division as early picks comes through and D goes OK....I would WR or TE...their D is OK Marcos needs help.

I think Alexander, Apple, Ramsey and Hargraves are all going to be VERY good NFL corners.

I think Ramsey and Hargraves are the stand outs in the class and i think that's a LOT closer than people are saying. Ramsey definition #1 but Hargraves isnt far behind him at all IMO

There keeps being rumours of a trade up, but I don't believe it....these qbs aren't worth trading up for.

I've got my hopes pinned on the Steelers nabbing Dwayne Allen to alleviate the TE need, perfect fit, I give it about a 3% chance of happening, they won't match what others will give him.

My latest mock draft

Round 1

7. San Francisco - Jared Goff, QB, California

Round 2

6. San Francisco - Braxton Miller, WR, Ohio State

You better be wrong. Unless we have a killer free agency (lolz) I would be seriously disappointed with that draft. If/when Kap goes I can understand taking a QB, but not first round, please not first round.

Miller is a stud, Goff could be Franchise QB if he develops well, if Kap gets cut or traded, and you don't draft a QB...

Not saying they're not, but there are more pressing needs.

We're not going to be a playoff team next year and getting free agents to sign on the defensive side of the ball in a Chip Kelly side will be a tougher sell than usual.

Goff/Miller are in positions of need (what position isn't a need for the 9ers?) but I also think there are quality QB's further down the list and unless the 9ers are foolishly looking for a quick fix instant starter we have the option of developing a guy for a year.

I think we'll push harder on the offensive side of things come free agency so things might become clearer then, but if we don't fix our defense (especially the ability to get to the QB) then a new QB/WR isn't going to do a thing.

I don't see Cleveland drafting Wentz, I know there's talk that they like him but I think it's a smoke screen.
The only guy you draft at 2 who is safe as is Goff, Wentz still has too much risk at 2.
Speaking of quarterbacks is it possible Paxton drops a lot? (he had an 'ok' combine but showed some flaws).

Also you guys hear about Atlanta asking Eli Apple if he's gay? Lol wow.

As a Bears fan I would love Buckner to fall to us as unlikely as that is. The way our FA has played out I could see us grabbing Wentz or Goff if they fall to sit behind Cutler for a year. Would be stoked with Hargreaves/Stanley or Robinson swell. Ragland as a back up if those guys are taken.

A lot of the Steelers staff went to watch Billings at the Baylor pro day. With McLendon off to the Jets, NT becomes becomes a big need.
