It's nothing about the refs, he was in a whisker of being out when it should've been a certain try.

We needed the replay to ensure he was in, which we can't use.

No, we needed the replay to ensure he was out. The referee's ruled something that did not occur. They could not have seen him out because he wasn't. They took a guess that he was out when he was not. They should have just ruled the try.

If the Warriors win and the Dogs win by a certain amount of points they could overtake Manly (Warriors F/A is already well ahead)

Considering how badly the Dogs got beaten first up they have to win by something like 15-20 points so essentially you're in unless you completely drop your bundle.
