injured his hip at the 9's. Nothing serious, but he was rested as a precaution.

They said on channel 9 he had a corked thigh sustained during warm up or was I hearring things?

That's why Taupau moved from the bench to starting back row.

Just checking to see if there were any supporters at the trial. Interested to know who may get another chance this year or or who we have seen the last of for 2016. I have seen some of the limited clips but they didn't show too much. At least the next trial is a little easier to watch......

Everyone was passable except for Milone tbh.

Hunt was superb. Liolevave needs cardio but he looked very good. Griffin is a workhorse and by god does McConnachie hit hard. So does Aloai. Brooks, Nofoaluma and Addo-Carr were all sharp. Moses ran the show well but didn't have any highlight moments. Littlejohn threw a nice pass for a try.

I'd say Grant was fairly disappointing.

Couple of disappointing seasons for Tim but I wouldn't right him off just yet. I'm not sure what has gone wrong for Tim but he can play and will be good for you guys if he can find some form and consistency.

Grant is totally useless. The fact his 2 previous employers didn't want him says it all.I can c him joining the list of pathetic peahearted props who were huge liabilities for us that include O'hara Cayless & to a slightly lesser extent Galloway !

Panthers and Roosters didn't want Michael Jennings... so that doesn't say it all.

Tim Grant might be useless. But you can't base that on his last 2 clubs. When Panthers started shopping him around he was still solid despite not being wanted. Then he went to Souths and has done shit since.

But Joe Galuvao had a similar career path and after leaving Souths was a damn fine player at a bargain price for Sea Eagles and Eels. Some players just don't fit in at different clubs for various reasons.

I'm definitely not writing Grant off yet. I'm hopeful he becomes a really good player for us.

How did the Ipswich boys go? I'm not expecting them to be world beaters but we do need some grunt in our pack.

Disappointed that Grant didn't show much promise but we will see how he goes round 1

Only surprises I see:
- Hunt on the wing, thought that Rankin would be taking this spot
- Assuming that Aloiai will be used as a Prop/Lock, only two front row/locks on the bench? Can we really afford to carry a player who can only play 2nd rower on the bench?

FMD, we need to use Sironen as a bench utility. A player that can cover 2nd Row, Lock, Halves or Centre is VERY valuable. Sironen can cover all these positions and I think he could make a lot more impact off the bench.

A forward pack along these lines would be great:

8. Woods
9. Farah
10. Grant
11. Lawrence
12. Halutau
13. Sue

14. Cherrington
15. Ava
16. Aloiai (if he truly is ahead of the Ipswich boys)
17. Sironen
