Could be bad for the cows if Winterstein doesn't play. Ponga and Bowen defending on the same side could be trouble. Brisbane would actually have to run the ball to that side of the field though...

Hopefully winters is good as putting ponga up may dampen both the top and 20's titles chances if it doesn't go to plan. His highlights dont show his defence and i havent seen enough games to comment on it (as defence as a whole in the NYC is mainly optional). From what i can tell he is in the dugan frame and physique and will look like he is pinned down and surrounded on his own line and then be scoring under the posts down the other end with the defence asking "how the f&*k did he do that?"

Yeah its obviously not ideal.
It would be fantastic though if he's targeted repeatedly by the Donkies and is quick, a few length of the field trys would be nice.

Hess in for Lowe, not a bad replacement.
The good thing is these guys are fast and what we have been lacking is speed and spark.

It's especially good for us because it takes his torpedo kick offs out of the game. He would have torn our backline to shreds with those high balls
I dont think Lowe kicks...certainly not torpedoes...he's converted a couple of trys but I think you're talking about Feldt.

Meh, the Cowboys cover those losses pretty easily.

Shows what an incredible roster they have when they can bring in Bowen for Linnett, given the scarcity of decent centres at the moment. I can't picture them going out in straight sets, it'd just be such a failure.

Even with the injuries, the Cows are simply going to be far too strong up the middle.

Watching Bennett tonight...he looked a bit uneasy.

I think having a few fresher guys in the squad can be used to an advantage but it pretty much evens up whatever advantage we did have with Roberts out.
