So what were you all whinging for?

You get more home games than anyone.

No melbourne will get two games ?

1 and 2 are guaranteed 2 home games (or a home region game for the prelim), 3rd and 4th are guaranteed 1 home game (either in week 2 or in their home "region"). 5 and 6 will get an elimination final at home but no more home games and 7 and 8 wont get a home game at all

Its been like this since the change to the current finals system. 1 and 2 both lost in week 1 in 2014 and "hosted" the winners of the elimination final

Canberra and Newcastle fans just think if they are good enough (not this year for either of us) to qualify first for a prelim final our home region shouldnt be in Sydney. The winner pf this game has to go to melbourne because they quite rightly won the right to host the game

In short, the Raiders have blown any chance they had of winning the comp this year. The game against the Sharks should have been out to bed in the first 30 minutes. As predicted though, they do not have a plan B when a team defends well against them.

Now injuries are starting to pile up and the confidence has to be lower than it was last week.

I'm excited, for the first time in years - This Panthers team is brimming with belief - Worried about the Raiders bouncing back after a tough loss, but without Hodgson I can't see them getting the win - Panthers by 4

Panthers need to start the game better than they did against the Dogs. They were nervous and didn't get through their plays and got caught with the ball on the last and Cleary's kicks were uncharacteristically off.

Raiders are a much better team and more mobile so it won't be so easy going this time around.

Should be a fast free flowing game.

Tipping Raiders to bounce back as I don't think Pants can win consistently. Should be a great game though.

The not kicking on the last and playing boring and through the middle by penrith was a tactic by griffin which worked well to tire out the dogs forwards

I agree with walt. Its often the best option just to run it and make the opposition start on their goal line

The Panthers are timing their run of excellent form perfectly,as Canberra have been constantly the game's highlight reel all season.

In essence,it really comes down to a game on Saturday that will be worthy of a GF,as both clubs should be highly commended on their respective seasons.

I won't be letting the nervous energy get to me on this game as for me,the Panthers have vastly exceeded my expectations.

Either we continue our fairy-tale run of a ride,or this is simply a stepping stone towards something fantastic in the future.

With both teams ability to score points from anywhere on the field, the real test will come down to each sides desperation on the goal line defense.

Panthers by 4 points.

The coach was happy with the start. The Dogs opened with brutal defence and hard hits and this had to be withstood. Once the juice in the Bulldog tanks dropped after the first half hour, the writing was on the wall, really. The Raiders represent a completely different challenge in that they are such a dangerous attacking unit. Griffin will be looking at the Sharks game to see just how this was nullified.

We won't be winning this through tough defence so I hope Ricky is coaching them to go all out in attack. BJ, Toots, Papa and Austin(hopefully) need to have big games.

The only real reference we have for playing without Hodgson this year is when he was suspended for the Parramatta game a few weeks ago. We started with Clydesdale at hooker that day and they got out to a 0 – 16 lead. Baptiste came on and we ended up winning 28 – 18, so it’s not all doom and gloom I guess. Obviously the Panthers are a much better team than the Eels but there’s a bit of hope there.
