Is he out definitely Walt??? How about Austin the will he be playing?? just watched the replay on IQ it was a nothing incident....

Hodgson underwent scans which revealed an ankle ligament tear and appears highly unlikely to play against Penrith next week

“He is very, very unlikely to play next week,” Raiders chief executive Don Furner said. “If we win, we could have him back the following week for the preliminary final. Scans came back showing he had a ligament tear.

“Hopefully Blake Austin (broken hand) will be back this weekend but we’re not sure about that either.”

Hodgson damaged his ankle during Canberra’s gripping 16-14 loss to Cronulla at GIO Stadium last Saturday night.

Raiders coach Ricky Stuart is expected to name Hodgson and Austin tomorrow. Austin’s chances of playing are better than those of Hodgson.

If Penrith reproduce their recent form they should take this out. They also appear to be a more disciplined outfit than the raiders.

Aiden Sezer has a lot to answer for. First he crushes Hodgson's ankle and then ten minutes later misses his 400th field goal for the season.

Penrith have got dis.

Penrith are the best team in the bottom half of the 8, and I fear them the most. I still think we have a good chance without Hodgson, but it's going to be a tough night at the office. These are the 2 best teams of the future, there should be some proper attacking footy on display unlike the other game.

Nah, Penrith are like Parra, their juniors are the greatest things ever and they're all already immortals despite playing 5 games of NRL combined. They usually fizzle out after a couple of seasons. They're a lot like young Dragons forwards when you think about it....

but no Hodgson, no hope. Penrith by 16.

Raiders now $1.85 Panthers $2.00 from each being $1.90.

Must be talk of Hodges playing.

Nah I just reckon betters were seeing the value in the Raiders at $1.90 at home and before they lost they had won how many games straight like 10 or something. Hodgson wont play but i reckon austin will

Well if its a high ankle (?)
They will strap it to the max, basically be a peg leg but he's a dummy half...just have to scoot quickly and then pass.
Defensively is a different story I guess.
