If Raiders hold onto the ball I think they'll win and win easily, I'm even thinking Raiders 19+.

No way we will win 19+, we'd get complacent if we got that far ahead and leak multiple tries in a 4 minute window. It's happened about 5 times this year.

I get the feeling
that this wont be close either way.

there's a case for the raiders,.
an explosive start shocks the storm and they win by a few. 32-16 or something

or

The Storm just absorb the pressure, hit on the counter when they need to and win 28-4

good on hodgson for winning the mal meninga medal with pappali and backing it up with the warren ryan medal from the abc.
dude is a great player

I'm tipping a 12-0 scoreline in the opening quarter with that team eventually holding on to a close finish.

Don't mind an upset, but I'm hoping storm save their very occasional off-night for next week rather than this week!

EDIT - I will probably be cheering the raiders when watching however. They are a likeable bunch and much like the sharks, their fans are long-suffering merkins

Boring as in robotic, show no emotion and do things in a very structured way.
It obviously works for them and includes very talented plays but its still dull.

I would describe Roger Federer and the Patriots this way as well.

I think you just hate success. Patriots are one of the more innovative teams in the NFL who else would run a 4 offensive lineman package and play silly buggers with a 5th ineligible player, or the deliberate safety or playing wide recievers as defensive backs and linebackers as H backs

Im a little perplexed why people are acting like we're some lucky wild card team. The Storm won one more game than us and we literally beat them a month ago. We lost six games all season and one of them was against a cap rorting eels. You could easily excuse two more that Wighton gave away.

This is f**king one vs two. Get excited you merkins!

Pretty sure Wighton only gave away one, FPN gave away the other one. And an illegal wall accounted for another loss.

We've only been well beaten in 2 or 3 games all season - and in one of those (Broncos) I still believe we go on to win if we manage to convert our early dominance into points. But then again without that experience, of losing mainly due to our own dumb errors, we probably don't go on and win 10 in a row.

But you're right, the Raiders are not being given the respect they deserve. We've won 11 of our last 12 games, including beating the Storm at the last time of asking. We've won 3 out of our last 4 at AAMI Park. I think this is going to be a cracking game.

That bronx game was a classic raiders choke. Not saying the bronx wouldn't have beat us anyway they are a pretty good team but a big crowd on channel nine and we started terribly.

This is why these games are so important win or lose to give a squad of inexperienced kids some matches under pressure so we dont just go to pieces whenever it matters.

Hopefully a few of the lads can get some rep experience off the back of a good year. I truly believe croker and joey are the best centres in the comp. That will also help with the big games.

I thought we were a bit intimidated by the Broncos when we played. They were still considered premiership favorites at the time and we weren’t in full swing then. Just felt like we gave them too much respect.

The finals series is a new comp, so we keep getting told. In the new comp, Canberra were beaten first week after being well in front, and well on the way to being beaten again in the second week after being well in front until Cummins intervened. There was also the Manly game in R25 in which three tries were conceded in the final 10 minutes. Quite simply, the Raiders frequently don't finish as well as they start.

The Raiders are big and tough and can steamroll oppositions, but for a championship team, are a bit too prone to running out of juice in the second half. They are very vulnerable against quick play the balls and quick ball movement, especially when their big forwards and outside backs are tiring. They are facing a team who will target their deficiencies. That's why I think they will struggle in this final. Next year they will be ready.

You guys need to adapt to the Storm wrestle rather than rely on the refs to run a fast game.

If anything we've been slow starters. We have run a few sides down this year.

It's true we very rarely have a perfect 80 but the bad 10 minutes could happen at anytime. What about our starts v Newcastle and parra for example.
