I honestly think Raiders will need to improve 40-50% from last week to be a chance here. Storm are so ruthless and so well-drilled, Canberra will need to be near flawless to knock them off. Hopefully the visitors can knock off the grapplers and win for the sake of the game.

I think Melbourne is the best possible matchup for us. It could easily end up with us getting convincingly beaten, but it also is the game we're most likely to play an aggressive, adlib style - which Melbourne don't like.

When we played Cronulla, we played like we were favourites (ie, didn't take risks). Same as when we hit the lead against Penrith. We look so much better when we're desperately trying to score points, when it gets to an armwrestle and we stop chancing our arm, we lose.

Yeah out of all the teams in the 8 I've been wanting to avoid the Cowboys the most, I think they'd really trouble us with how they play. Melbourne are a very good football team but we've done a job on them recently and didn't get too comfortable with them like we do against most sides. So I'm confident we'll put in a good 80 minute performance. We'll just have to see if that's enough.

Dumb penalties cost you that one

You will only beat Melbourne by starving them of the ball.

Although I also think you may get beaten convincingly I agree, Melbourne bring the best out of you blokes. Defence will be key in my opinion on Saturday night if you guys come up trumps.

Sorry Raiders fans, but I can't see anything other than a comfortable victory to the storm here. They will wrestle and slow the game down and go in to the sheds at halftime up by between 2-6 and pull away in the 2nd half.

They're boring, yet very effective. Their boring style rubbed off on the rest of the comp which has affected the on-field product greatly. There's only a handful of teams left who play an attractive style.

I like Melbourne and would support them over the cowboys if they knocked us out and the cowboys did the sharks in.

It's not Melbourne's fault that half the sides in the comp are boring. I reckon all four of the remaining sides are pretty entertaining as were the panthers and the Bronx (mostly. I can never forgive them for that horror show v the dragons)

It's not like mcgregor has a cargo cult going on where he thinks by making the dragons boring they will be successful because it works for the storm. The dragons are boring because they have maybe 2 entertaining players.

When the storms attack is clicking they are clinical and great to watch with the plays they put on.
If anything storm games should be better to watch because teams know they have to play footy to beat them which is always good.

They're boring because they're so structured in everything they do, from their defence in the ruck all the way through to their sweeping plays in attack, it's a credit to them because they're ultra consistent at doing it which is no doubt why they've gotten great results but as a neutral, it's not the most entertaining thing to watch

Canberra need to play from in front to try and screw with their structures, otherwise it could be a comprehensive victory to the Storm

Boring as in robotic, show no emotion and do things in a very structured way.
It obviously works for them and includes very talented plays but its still dull.

Fair enough.
When they are on in attack I think its great but a lot of the time, especially this year they have won games on their defense. The injuries this year to all the outside backs would of stuffed up a lot of the attack then chambers was out of form and is only just now finding it. If they only had a crap winger instead of finding vunivalu as a replacement it would of been much worse.
