And let's not forget, just like Storm and Bulldogs fans in recent years - their team might've been cheating but they still got to enjoy the years they won premierships. How great was last year's Nines? I'm looking forward to it again.

Yeah I felt that way too. But now it shits me just as a matter of principle. The NRL added that to the punishment just to prove how ruthless they are. There was no sensible reason for that portion of the punishment.

the way they handed down the ruling was so bizarre with the dogs and storm it was "you are found guilty of xxx your punishment is yyy" with parra it was "here's your punishment" then next week "here's another one" a month later "here's another one" etc etc etc etc etc

forward pass

Five-eighth Corey Norman has again been named to captain the side which will include new signings Nathan Brown, Jamal Fogarty, Josh Hoffman, George Jennings, Suaia Matagi and Marata Niukore.

“The Nines is our first outing for the year and I am pleased that we have been able to introduce some of our new acquisitions so early in the year,” Head Coach Brad Arthur said.

“We also have some of our developing players coming along for their first taste of an NRL like environment.”

“As a squad we are looking forward to the competition and I am sure our members and fans are excited see the players out on the park for the first time in 2017.”

So probably 6 of our top 17 along for the ride...?

Or 7 if you count Semi (and assume he'll still be playing come Round One).
