So probably 6 of our top 17 along for the ride...?

Or 7 if you count Semi (and assume he'll still be playing come Round One).

Corey Norman, Nathan Brown, Kenny Edwards, Bevan French, Clint Gutherson, Josh Hoffman, Tepai Moeroa, Semi Radradra, Suaia Matagi

I reckon there is 8 or 9 (depending on where Matagi is) of our top 17 in the Nines squad.
BA and Burnie taking it seriously.

I don't know why all clubs don't take this seriously. Clubs don't see the prestige in it which I fully understand - but if you treat it is practice then it is probably the best training session you will ever have. The players have been busting their guts for 3 months now so surely some real competition instead of opposed sessions at training can only be beneficial.

As for the injury risk? Clubs used to play 3 or 4 trials. Now they play the nines and maybe two - often only one trial. Not much difference really. In fact the nines would be less physical than a full blown trial. And don't forget, the players have been ripping into each other at training for months now - no holds barred contact sessions, so players can get get hurt at any training session - and they have been. eg Kostjayson for Newcastle amongst others.

Manly and the dragons don't look too strong. Even the Warriors aren't as strong as previous years.

Cowboys & Broncos definitely the strongest teams

We are probably in the top 4 mix.

We saw last year how easy these games can change though. If we didn't score after the bell in our second game we wouldn't have even made it out of the group, let alone won* the tournament

Not really, I am not talking about their great leader or singling them out for their exceptional way they have turned club around and producing exciting talent. Not to mention how great it is now run and orgasmic footy they play.

Now if i was to mention that then yes my streak would be over. Its been a dry Jan gary
