What's with the crowds? Did they jack up the prices this year?

With the Warriors out of contention, the crowd drops like a lead balloon.

Best to take this co to the home of Rugby League and play it out of Homebush.

That way there will be guaranteed full attendances for both days.

The crowds were crap all day yesterday, though.

Haha, I like your last paragraph joke.

Didn't the nrl struggle to fill the sfs last time they had a 7s comp?
The novelty of 9s has worn off. Despite some people thinking that it's the greatest thing in the world, the ease of scoring and the emphasis in attack makes it kinda boring.
People need to stop whinging about missing players and stop using the '9s is the key expanding the game' arguement and start treating the 9s for what it is, a bit of harmless fun in the offseason that works as a 1 off

The crowds were what all day?

I noticed the crowds and not once did that ground get full.I switched over to the Rugby at various times, and they had quite a lot more.

If it was held in Sydney, people will come from far and wide to book hotels and actually make a day of it.

In NZ,all they do is drink all day in the stadium bars if the Warriors are not in contention.

See my edit, I meant to add crap.

I'm not sold on Sydney being any better long term either.

One more year of playing at an empty Stadium isn't going to help its image either.
