Isn't PNG the third world? How much are these 20,000 people going to pay for tickets?

$3 each would have probably paid the extra cost fof sending the cookies over, plus extra sponsors etc. plenty of big mining companies in png that could have been involved. But too hard for nrl, let's just play all, three games at a st hole in Sydney. Thankfully it's not raining.

Build it and they will come.

Would love to think one day, test rep weekends supplant SOO as the big ticket footy.

Aren't they scrapping the rep weekend in the new TV deal?

Which for mine is bullshit.

I didn't believe so.

According to Wikipedia:
In August 2015, the NRL announced a new $925 million (Australian) TV deal. As part of the deal it was announced that the Pacific test matches would continue to be televised until at least 2022 and will be played on the Sunday before game 2 of the State of Originseries. The deal begins in 2018.

Ok. So the ANZAC test is what's being scrapped? That's a good result as the Pacific tests are frankly more exciting and generating more interest.

Each to their own, I love them all. I'd be happy to see more Aust vs anyone else instead of NZ all the time.
