Crowd looks great for first game. They even have the "Den" for the hardcore fan and they march through the street with drums beating singing the team song. Very organised already and they aren't in super league yet.

Outstanding! Well done to the club, and the RFL for having the vision and balls to admit them.

Looks like they got off their arses and made it so.

Perth could put their team in Qld or NSW Cup. Probably still too busy sobbing about paying for flights in 1995 though.

Ok. So the ANZAC test is what's being scrapped? That's a good result as the Pacific tests are frankly more exciting and generating more interest.

Don't forget the Pacific tests are going to take a big kicking after this year. With players eligible to play for both but the financial rewards being very disproportionate you would expect next year the island sides to lose a lot of the big names.

The irony is it shows just how sht the nrl is. All that money, all that support and yet a broke arse RFL with rl a third tier sport in uk can get a prof team in a far flung place likme toronto whilst the nrl dicks around doing nothing. England once again showing australia the way.

I know he does go on but he has got a point, it is a joke that the NRL is so scared to try and expand.
Im not really arsed either way about Perth but I just want the sport to be played more and get bigger and better.

Mate, I'm one of the biggest proponents of a Perth NRL team going around.

However, his constant snipes at "Sydney" and how shit it all is, is tiresome.

Never seen him say a good word about Souths either, considering they're the ones taking a game to WA every year for the past 8 years. Lost a home game out of it, but I was cool, as it was for the good of the game (and the club). f**k him. I hope Perth come in to the comp the day after he carks it.

With the more recent eligibility rules tightened for Origin I think that will not be as bad as before.

But I do think the ARLC should ensure all Test playing nations receive the same payment, like they now do with NZ.
