That's unbelievable. No doubt ticket prices are astronomical and not matched by Qlders' desire to be there. As much as it has been in high demand in the past, there's only so much you can gouge out of people when there's 52,000 seats to sell and 104,000 in reality.

The ticket pricing is all over the shop. Im in bay 338 which was $280 and its considered 'platinum' but i just did a dummy buy in the gold category
and It gave me the opposite side equivalent (bay 327) for $240.

How the f**k does that work?

I just pretended to buy on the basis that I was going with my family. Best possible price, best possible seats = $808 for two adults and two kids sitting in the corner of the bottom tier. And that's without the extra charges. Not to mention not being anywhere near Brisbane so it would actually cost hundreds more for someone out of town.

It's a miracle they've sold any.

There's an article in the CM about the suncorp playing surface, a bit in it claims there was more tickets released today for origin 3 in all categories.

Why the f**k do they do this?

Because most working class people want to spend that on a damn game of football. Idiots.

Has the pricing changed much from Game 1? It would be a greater image for the build up of the game if they could put up the 'Sold Out' sign up at least a couple of days before the game instead of releasing more tickets the day before or dropping prices at the last minute to get rid of them. Would this have any impact on attendances in coming weeks where people have paid up a premium for one game and can't afford to go to club games? Hopefully the positive growth in memberships can help insulate against this impact.

Origin III is sold out
Tue 11 Jul, 2017, 2:00pm
‌‌‌NRL.com

The NRL has announced that Holden State of Origin III is sold out.

The final tickets for the decider, at Suncorp Stadium on July 12, were sold today.

"This will be arguably the most anticipated Origin clash in the history of the interstate contest, so it will be great to see the house full sign up," NRL CEO Todd Greenberg said.

"We have worked with Suncorp Stadium to maximise capacity. This sort of contest deserves to have as many people watching as possible."

Special extended coverage via host broadcaster Channel Nine will begin at 7pm in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide, and 5.30pm in Perth.

Tom Malone, Nine's Director of Sport, said: "With not even standing room left at Suncorp, the best and only place to watch The Decider will be exclusively live and free on Channel Nine. This is going to be the biggest game of rugby league ever."

Fans attending the game are encouraged to arrive early, avoid the queues at the gates and catch the curtain-raiser games, not to mention the spectacular pre-game entertainment program.

The pre-match entertainment, which includes a lights-out spectacular, a special tribute to Johnathan Thurston and a performance from Bernard Fanning, will commence at 7.30pm.

The national anthem will be sung by Paulini, star of The Bodyguard - The Musical.

To avoid delays, fans are encouraged not to bring a bag unless absolutely necessary and plan to arrive early to assist with the security process.

The free travel offer applies from four hours before the main game kicks off. Special services run regularly to the venue in the two hour period leading up to kick-off.

Fans are also reminded that a new Marketplace for Fans is available for Origin III, giving supporters the chance to buy re-sold tickets at their original price.

The new service is designed for people who legitimately can’t attend the event and want to recoup their ticket costs.

Fans who wish to use the service should visit https://stateoforigin.ticketek.com.au/

First origin sold out without a fire sale in a while.

Bronze tickets (3000) were $80, restricted view bronze seats sold for $182. Well done nrl.

Close. Bay 326 is actually the equiv to 338. Still crap though.

They sold bronze for $80, up top behind posts then the bronze restricted view went on sale in the same category as other restricted view for $182 a pop. It's actually hilarious.

If you think struggling to sell this game out a day before is something to be excited about, given how much attention it has been getting and taking away from every other part of the game, it's little wonder you are one of the last remaining members of the circle. No game has ever been hyped as much as this. Only a few years ago it would have sold out in an hour.
