So sack the ARLC and do what?Which organisation started "running" the game in 2012?
Anyone shed light on what happened in 2013 that caused the dip in attendance avg? Up until then the attendance had grown a little to consistently (09-12) over the 16k mark, peaking at 16.4k in 2012. Then in 2013 it dropped under 16k and has stayed there since:
2017 15030
2016 15214
2015 15074
2014 15905
2013 15940
In that same period Australia's population has grown by over 1 million people, indicating an even smaller attendance per '000 population.
2015, our lowest avg since 2004 , you had the likes of Brisbane, Bulldogs, St's, South's and cowboys all in top 8 so cant be just down to how the better supported clubs were travelling?
let the professor run it to piss Cumberland Tosser off
OK lets do a bit of investigative journalism whatever.

Table 2013

In 2013:-
Broncos the biggest drawing club 12th
Dragons with a big base 14th
Tigers with a big base(see 2005) 15th
Eels the largest of Sydney bases last
Just from that drop and the reaction of supporters has to be noted.
Then you have to take into account scheduling who played what on crap nights.
Then you look at which clubs played in country areas /Perth/Darwin/Cairns etc.
Also check the ANZ drop in numbers with people getting fed up with the current venue.
It's easy to sit back and bitch about crowds, and in some cases there cit can be argued there is no excuse. But seriously if you ignore teams with the biggest support bases in Sydney and Brisbane, you are ignoring a realistic fact of life.
Interestingly the longtime established Sydney clubs do draw crowds away from home as they have important factors such as history and recognition as part of yheir make up. You take just one of those clubs away as perth red suggest and you weaken the code in Australia's biggest city. The negativity continues.
Our game is Rugby League not the NRL.
P.S. The Cowboys are decidedly not a big drawing team away from QLD.

Yes. I think that the Sydney clubs would play in towns outside of Sydney regardless. Perhaps not home and away but still on an away basis. You would think Brisbane v cowboys has its own attraction. So a well thought out draw would work.Exactly. That's why conversations about having Sydney only conferences aren't thought out and ignore the impact that they would have on out of town clubs crowds.
No need to worry, you'll keep his memory aliveTosser noticeably absent
I'll give you broncos not being in is likely to have been one cause of the sub 16k drop off in 2013 but 2015 when the crowds hit bottom you had
Broncos
Rabbits
Bulldogs
St's
Cowboys in top 8, all big drawing teams if doing well.
You might get one or two years of annomalies depending on weather and fixtures but 5 years running under 16k after 5 years of consistent over 16k would suggest it is something much more than that.
The crowd problem's easily solved, make the NRL a feeder comp and play 26 rounds of Origin
