2017 Crowd Watch

I'd lay the boot into my club if it was warranted. Apart from success and crowds (which would follow from success) we are viable in the nrl.

Is it any secret why 4 of our last 6 games are on fta? Because we get some of, if not the most viewership. We wouldn't be on fta without reason.

Why not lay the boot into clubs who have had success for years yet can hardly pull a crowd

Anyways the way I see it is the nrl is a magnificent product poorly managed. Pump millions into advertising campaigns, cheapen tickets, hype up games, do anything you can to get people excited for games.

It's not rocket science
No wonder ratings are down then. Pointing to the appalling games chosen by Nein as proof of success actually proves how f**ked the game is.

The game is already "pumping millions" into shit clubs who set the ridiculous prices and do little to promote the game.

Also, have a look at which clubs take games to other areas, including trial games, and see what we're getting for those millions every year in terms of growing and supporting the game.

So you don't want to take a look at which clubs do the least to spread the game and support it via trial games and on the road games.

No I wouldn't either if I was struggling to convince anyone the Tigers are worth the millions of dollars they cost the sport every year.

You're dumb if you don't think the Tigers are stretched enough as it is playing out of 3 home grounds

Merged clubs are an exception for this "spreading the game" bullshit you come up with. There's 14 other clubs that can do that

Oh right. The shittest club that offers the least gets to take all the cash the others get (plus more) and do nothing in return. f**king parasites.

What the f**k do you mean by offers the least? Dumb merkin

If we offered the least wouldn't we have the lowest memberships and crowd averages. Use what little brain cells you have left you concussed Mong

I bet you want to change the subject.

But I'm glad it's now on record that you think the Tigers get to take more than their fair share of central funding but have no obligation to grow and develop the sport. That pretty much sums it all up. Like I said, parasites.

When Wally was around origin was not the pinnacle of the game because test football was. We now have an admin who treat test football with contempt. In fact they have wiped it from the season proper entirely. Basically they've f**ked the highest level of the sport, are failing at club level and the circle is getting extra hard over the only thing they have left. And even then a dead rubber would have seen tickets thrown around like confetti.

You need to check the crowds circa 1988
Against GB at the SFS 11th June crowd 15,944
Against GB lang Park 28th June 27,130.
For the fans it didn't appear the pinnacle of the game. And I'm one who is an Internationalist, who actually have travelled on Kangaroo tours to support the Roos.No doubt you will be attending RLWC matches?

You mean the NRL scheduling treats Tests with contempt. We have 26 weeks of NRL,we have 3 SOO,9s,All Stars .Bring in more team, have two conferences reduce the workload, anything to stop your whining.
Maybe instead of whining have a chat with the players, who are stuffed with the current scheduling.
They want the money from the Tv deal.OK reduce the workload ,get less for TV deals, and ask players for a pay cut.See how that pans out.
Your Old mate Grant was pressured into getting near $2bn on the Tv deal, in order tp appease clubs. He got it ,and we had to suffer the scheduling. Then he decided to do a Santa and offer $10m per club plus 30%.

The fact the SOO3 has sold out repeat sold out, regardless of when.with the high prices involved is hardly the stuff of whinging.I bet you blasted Santa as a kid because he didn't call regularly.

I've met negative people in my life who whine about the weather, their kids, they live in decent homes are healthy ,yet still complain.

The poor crowds for the SFS SOO and also for the test series was a one off I believe due to high prices in 1988.

Teddles .I've quoted the crowd numbers for tests against GB in 1988 at the SFS and Lang Park.15,944 and 27,130.
The crowds did not respond then is my point.

Anyone shed light on what happened in 2013 that caused the dip in attendance avg? Up until then the attendance had grown a little to consistently (09-12) over the 16k mark, peaking at 16.4k in 2012. Then in 2013 it dropped under 16k and has stayed there since:
2017 15030
2016 15214
2015 15074
2014 15905
2013 15940

In that same period Australia's population has grown by over 1 million people, indicating an even smaller attendance per '000 population.

2015, our lowest avg since 2004 , you had the likes of Brisbane, Bulldogs, St's, South's and cowboys all in top 8 so cant be just down to how the better supported clubs were travelling?

Translation: Can't argue the point.

The most pathetic old troll reaponse on this forum is to just call anyone and everyone a VFL fan. Usually spouted by the f**ktards who spend all their time on VFL sites upping their traffic.

No point arguing against a f**ked merkin who's clear agenda is against the nrl.

Atleast Perth red provides constructive Critiscm/ideas to fix the problem. You sir, are just a wanker

Another troll who faps over the NRL's destruction of country football. Oh that's right you were one of the pussies who got butt hurt because your poxy gang rapist salary cap cheating club got called out for banning its own players from representing. I'm pretty sure it was the coach who your fans now want sacked who made that call.

And blind club bias is all you've got which is the worst agenda possible. And it's why you have no ability to argue because you've admitted you think your club deserves to take the game's money and do f**k all for it in return. Why you think a club sheep like you would have any credibility on real issues in the game with an attitude like that only highlights how worthless club bias twats are.

Which organisation started "running" the game in 2012?

Which organisation started "running" the game in 2012?

What I find interesting about that is most fans would have been very excited at the prospect of the game finally getting away from News Ltd ownership and surely there should have been a feel good factor around that, even if just for a year or two? Did scheduling, prices or promotion drastically change from 2013 in some way? Did the media become more negative to NRL under Smith than gallop?

Fortunately it looks like this year will rally a bit so we will scrape just above14k range which would been a disaster if it had dropped under 15k for the first time since 2004.
