If they do move it to ANZ we would have the advantage we earnt in week 1 taken away from us in favour of Parramatta who lost in week 1 but whatever.... money talks.

On a side note, you are probably locking 10k plus out by having a storm prelim at AAMI and not etihad...

You got the advantage of a week off.

There is no ground advantages when Sydney teams play each other.

Incorrect. Less RL fans would go to Etihad. You might get a few stadium members bumping up the crowd but more paying fans and a better experience at AAMI

Precendece? Like when the roosters played cowboys at ANZ in 2004 in the preliminary?

Which games are you referring to btw?

Only roosters vs Souths finals match in recent times was 2014, at ANZ.

Game I am thinking of is Roosters vs Bulldogs 2015. Also 2014 Manly vs Bulldogs.

Rabbitohs were the team with the week off in that instance in 2014.

As side note, Spottless is just over half full, which means that the NRL drew a bigger comparable weekend crowd than the AFL for the first time since 1999 GF. Well done Parra fans! The GWS crowd is under 15k, making it the smallest AFL finals attendance in over 100 years.

The NRL needs to articulate that better. The rules just say ANZ and SFS are deemed suitable venues for prelim finals, nothing about SFS being sometimes suitable.

Anyways, i don't disagree that it makes good business sense for the NRL to move it and uf they do so be it. Surely though the parra bandwagon isn't a shock to the NRL and they could have said all week that ANZ was an option instead of all and sundry advertising it as being at the SFS.

The way this game is going it might not matter. Cowboys look good.

41,287 tonight.

Aggregate 79,910. Highest ever week two.

Also after all the AFL comparisons last week, this week the NRL drew more across the two games.

Yeah but neither of those games were preliminaries. They're going to draw bigger crowds.

Last preliminary with your example is 2003.

Absolutely insane crowd.

That's a sell out at Allianz alone ... but I dunno if Parra are going to win lol

Brilliant crowd figure. Parramatta fans should be congratulated for attending in big numbers tonight. As too the Cowboys fans who made their way down to Sydney.

We got 43k against cowboys in 2004 at ANZ. To get 38-43k at SFS you need all members and corporates to turn up which is unlikely. We got 38k against knights in 2013. I think it will be similar to the 36.5k sharks got last year.
