So why move the game there in the first place?

They got about 16K to a trial against the Broncos a few years ago

wouldn't have been played at 8pm on a Friday i'd of thought ( the trial)
its a uni town
the students are at the pub getting smashed

the dogs would have been paid handsomely by the city council to play there ... these venues need content to be viable
plus there wouldn't have been many more then 10K in sydney for this game anyway

That's why they hate Brisbane & QLD so much if they just had fewer teams around Sydney the remaining sides would actually start getting decent crowds.

Are you still in favour of moving the best supported team in Sydney last year Tigers to Perth?

The union team averges 13-14k there so it's not like they're packing them in. And the thing about games like this is whatever the crowd is, it's a crowd of people who wouldn't otherwise go to a game. Playing every game in Sydney means it's the same old people every time. This is 10k (or whatever it is) "unique" fans, if you get my drift. That's why there should be more games like this, even if the figures don't seem that amazing.

Are you trying to argue the time slot the concil wanted for their first ever NRL game was wrong?

Kiwis are dumber than I thought...

Is this a dogs home game?
I thought they moved it here ... or is it another one later in the year.
In any case moving a game to NZ to play against the warriors sounds like a disaster.
My club did it
...and it was.
Lost the game
Heavily out numbered by opposition fans
Pissed off fans at home.

ah no
they wanted an nrl / bulldogs game
that was the end of their involvment

the broadcasters came in .. & f**ked it up as per usual

3pm tomorrow (5pm kiwi time )
this game gets a lot more through the gate

I just think it's sad that this stadium got a 15k crowd pre season game against the Broncos in 2013...

& we would have got that many again if we'd put the game on .. in a small non RL market in NZ ..
@ the right time
we didn't & we're suffering the consequences

I simply cannot wait for the control of the draw being taken back by the NRL next year

So what is on in Dunedin tonight that has kept the crowds away?

All the Uni students in bed?

And the Concil that paid the big money to attract the game was in the dark apparently...
