Won't clog up the thread as I've said it a few times but my issue mainly is that the SFS does everything ANZ do but better. More food areas, more pubs (with full strength beer for crying out loud), and you can make a night of it after.

ANZ is hamstrung by location in that there is nothing to do afterwards, if I go out I'd like to make a night of it- bit hard from Olympic Park lol (a good say 40mins to the city)

Yeh that's fair enough, I guess my situation is abit different where I live 2 hours outside of Sydney so once the footy is over I don't really have the energy to do stuff afterwards

If it's just the game day experience I have no issue with it at all

Only 31k and 25k v Storm back in 2004 & 05. Last year v Titans only got 43k as well.

Arent they Week 1 though?

35k for Brisbane is about regular season par for them. I'd expect about 10k more for finals

Hopefully get a few k walk ups and get 40k atleast

Mediocre finals crowds are a snowball result of the NRL building an anti-attendance culture for 26 rounds.
that and the talk all week has been about refs, instead of what a great week 1 of finals it was and how week 2 shapes up to be just as good. The on-field product is now secondary to all the off field controversy drummed up by the feral media.

Since 2006 there's been fortunate match-ups in finals, I'd say the Tigers and Panthers are probably the lowest drawing teams for the Broncos - there's just no history or rivalry there.

Yeah we have been lucky. Against manly we would have got 45+.

This is still less than I thought we would get. I spoke to some folk at work and they are just like nope Friday is boring and tickets aren't that cheap. (Now they have put good seats at green prices though).

We would usually get 23-25k on a Friday night for a regular season game. To me it looks like it has very little chance of eclipsing 36k.

Yep the media have just absolutely latched onto Flanno and Co whinge and refused to discuss the game itself and how the 4 finals matches were great contests and tightly contested.

So called "head sports writer" Phil "I will die from drinking" Rothfield hasn't even written one sentence in an article since the weekend that could be considered even remotely positive.

Im hoping he joins Bec Wilson very shortly.

ANZ is easier with regards to travel. Really wish they'd spend the money on it.

That depends for me.

Coming from Campbelltown, if I'm driving I would prefer ANZ.

If I use public transport I prefer Allianz, one train and the walk from the station isn't as bad as I thought (only did it for the 1st time a few weeks back for a concert on the Sat night then again on the Sunday for the College Football match)

They will run special event buses if it gets moved to ANZ.

this is subjective.

for me, i only need to catch one train to central, then a pub crawl up foveaux st to the ground is my perfect pre-game. i have it done it much for rugby league games now because souths aren't there anymore. but when I go to sydney fc and compare the experience to souths games now, well, it's f**king night and day with the former so much more of better day or night out.

i'd say most folks in the metro only need to catch one train to central to get to the SFS. many others like me, need to get a train strathfield/lidcombe and then another to olympic park, and then when you get to the precinct, it opens up into a shithole with one pub and portable marquees serving slop outside the ground.

and if the issue is the walk from central to moore park, mate.....have you seen the state of the average folk? more people need to walk these days.
