We still have a few members over there.

A few but nothing worth shouting about. The majority will be expats. I know you take everything as a slight againstbthe club but the NRL as an organisation is totally failing to sell the comp in England not Souths individually.
I can tell you exactly how many Souths jerseys I've seen in England, 0. There's no point pretending the club is something it isn't.
Snoop Dogg has merch for just about every professional sports team in the world. He probably didn't even need rusty to give him anything.

Sharks will announce over 10k before the new year. Thats pretty good considering we never made it past 10k up until 2015.

Wider audience
Lol
Hardly anyone watches the a league anywhere on.the planet.
Yet they appear to have more distribution channels in the tv broadcast space - based on the fact football is a world sport.

Probably a bit off topic but the WBBL the other night peaked at over 600K viewers. A-League can struggle for 50K sometimes.

I know some people on here are just trolling but attacking the validity of Souths memberships numbers (again) is stupidity - especially when these numbers and their $ figures are published on record as part of the Souths Members Co. end of year/AGM reports.

There's a myriad of reasons why Souths have the most members in Sydney. We lost our club from the NRL for one because they were a financial basket case. This almost happened again 2002-2006 and part of Blackcourt's (Holmes a Court/Crowe) central message was that the 'golden ticket' - for lack of a better term - remained in the hands of the members. If you want voting rights to maintain the key aspects of our history, you need to be a member. Also without a Leagues Club to support us, membership along with sponsorship became our number one forms of revenue.

To the majority of Souths members being a member is about providing a donation to the club that we love and support - not about "what we get out of it". It's this mindset that has 15/20k-odd people hand their cash over each year as non-ticketed members for very little gain - and our non-ticketed memberships at $100 a pop aren't cheap either.

Considering I joined as a member in 1999 and at the time we had around 300 members, to 100x that amount now - we've come a long way as a club.

I'd also say the bunnies brand is the biggest in NRL outside its homebase, I see heaps of bunnies on cars and merch here in Perth, hardly any other club. Obviously having a Hollywood A lister as owner helps in making a club sexy, then Souths have done a great job in areas such as merchandise and awareness of brand.

Dont know if its been mentioned (probably has)...

Do any NRL clubs offer multi season membership deals? Like say 2, 3 or 5 years. Would be a good model to grow membership numbers if it isnt happening.

That's a hefty investment. Perhaps if there was a monthly payment option, some might like it.

I think the closest they come to that is the auto-renewal system.

Some sports/clubs offer savings if you have been a member formX amount of years, a way of rewarding loyalty.

Given the NRL own the titans, it doesn't reflect well on their management abilities that the titans are a long way last!

The Titans haven't updated for a while, neither has the Panthers. Does the latter figure reflect on Gus's mgt abilities?

Think the Titan's figure will end up much higher than 2016. Hell they are not that far off half the Bronco's figures to date.

The NRL wasn't responsible for the Titan's debacle nor the Tinkler clusterf*ck. They are stuck with them to resell.
