You missed the "I suspect" bit lol. Besides it was one of you lot who said that most people got memberships at sharks to guarantee a covered seat! Don't shoot the messenger.

& you have the intelligence of a gold fish
thats the response to the original post about the NRL crowds not growing favourably in comparsion to other codes between 1993 & 2016
like I said
I didn't make this comparison i merely proved it was rubbish
Id suggest you try & keep up as you often fall way off the pace regularly : )
You still made the comparisons, even if someone else's post was what led you to do it.

As already outlined you used statistics selectively with no context as well. To suggest AFL crowds haven't improved in 20 years is head-in-the-sand stuff.

I had to make comparisons to address the original one stupid lol
and id suggest the original statement was as selective as it gets , to suggest we're the only code not doing well with crowd growth is what i called it

ridiculous

the NRL has grown its crowds at almost exactly the same % growth as the AFL in the last 20 years
with plenty more to contend with , aka , stupid game times
to suggest anything else is ... head up your arse stuff !!

We had some decent growth after 2008 until 2012 but have seen crowds drop since then. Monday nights came in 2007 so apart from the ridiculous Thursday night last season can't be a fixture reason. Strangely the drop,in crowds coincided with the game becoming independent and getting loads more revenue!

Wasn't the 2016 NRL season crowd average higher than the 2015 NRL season?.

Slightly at 140 avg higher but given how terrible 2015 was it is still a long way below the highs of 16.4k in 2010 and 2012.

Clubs don't need to grow crowds. Instead they grow the prices. $30 GA is too much IMO. Not by much mind you but still too much.

Yes - but if you actually read the post you were replying to you'd see he said the crowds were growing 2008-2012 and have dipped since then. While 16 was up on 15, that was largely because 15 was utter rubbish.

And that's where your argument falls over. If, as you claim, the AFL's crowds have grown at the same % (I'll take your word for it, dangerously enough), then the NRL is in a heap of trouble. They already had a starting point more than double ours for the same period and continued to do so.

You would've hoped we'd have made a dent in the gap. We haven't.

it doesn't when examining the statement we're being left behind by the other codes

we're not !!
