Point is no code has the sht scheduling of NRL, and our game attendances and membership levels are testament to it. How anyone can argue that playing 20+ games on a thursday night and 20+ games at 6pm on Friday (or 20+ games on a Monday night like last few years) is ok as other codes play the occasional game mid week is beyond me, or is it just argue with Raiderdave time?

ps went to my first BBL game at the WACA on NY day, now that is how to fill a stadium with an entertaining sports event! over 20k and huge family attendance. Who'd have thought cricket of all sports could be made so much fun? NRL clubs need to visit their local BBL club to see how its done. (and the timing wasn't exactly young family friendly with the game running 6:30pm-10:30pm but didn't stop thousands of little kids getting painted up, sticking a kfc bucket on their heads and staying mostly to near the end)

Every code has different scheduling and none is categorically worse than another. Get a f**king clue.

Afl plays on athursday when the following Day is a holiday, stop your afl propaganda.

As already shown they don't. And didn't in the past. Have been to scg on a thurs with work the next day. But sure, make up stuff to suit your arguement.

A league plays midweek to catch up if need be, they sometimes play when a holiday is held the following day which is usually in the school holidays, not in the middle of winter with school the next day.

Only have looked at Sydney Fc games, but what holiday is on Friday 10th Feb? They play that Thursday. School is back.

Super union does the same thing but with an earlier start in late summer during school holidays, if they play again during the season on a Thursday, you can bet your balls it's a holiday the next day.

Thursday 23rd Feb, Thursday 3rd March. School holidays finish 4 weeks earlier... why do you make stuff up?

The NRL plays on a school night at least once a week and has for a decade just with Monday night footy, as I said, stop talking crap.

Indeed, but we aren't the only ones who do it now.

Well actually we are the only ones who play one every round. Let alone two like last year (or a stupid time like 6pm on a Friday every week)!

We dont have a Thursday night every round. Why do you guys feel the need to make stuff up constantly?

5 years ago? Great to see you throw in a random condition that was never previously mentioned.

Round 14 2015
Round 17 2016

You said they dont play Thursdays. You get proven wrong. You said they didnt in the past. You get proven wrong. Now you will say you only meant 5 years ago.

Yours as bad as one of those morons on big poofy.

I'm positive you'll drag this down into an argument of semantics, but both codes have been experimenting with Thursday night fixtures for around 4-5 years. That's a fact, it's not avoidable or arguable. Yes - statistically we have more but it's foolish to label it our biggest issue, or that it's unique to us.

Also @cleary89 in addition to the two you mentioned, the Swans also played one in May 2014 against Geelong as well.

It's also not "every week" that we have Thursday games - when bye-shortened rounds take place across the Origin period (depths of winter mind you) it's not played. That's a whole bunch of rounds without it. They also drop it on the easter rounds lately from memory.

BS! How can you say the NRL schedule isn't worse from a fan convenience of attending point of view than the AFL one? Seriously??????
Let me guess, we should ban late night Thursday shopping too? lol

I couldnt find the 2014 draw but that one was the main one I remembered. Were up by 80 points or so at HT.

Errrr, forced?

It's opt out mate, do some learnings. It's also not "enacted by the NRL", it's club by club.

And why is any membership a bad thing? f**k me some people will complain about anything.

There is no opt-out option as of 2016 as explained to me by Wests Tigers membership when I enquired about it. It's part of the NRL membership fabric.

It's not a bad thing, it's proof of your support. Why would you take issue with this?

So, as i said know all, it's new, two years is new in regards recent history, maybe get the other know all, the school teacher to let you know what is ancient history, or tradition, over something two years old.

I said for the second time now it could have changed since the last contract, it has.

New contract imba, worked it out yet or are you going to say now that Friday nights are also the swans night now because they played two games on that night in the last ten years. Or maybe Thursday is gws night seeing as they want a game at that time this season? You can say in two years they have been playing at that time for ages aye, just like now with other mid week games held once in a while

Also cleary it is you that should head back to bf, you're the afl troll. Take timtam the mouth with you, he'd fitin well in the boggers with that arrogance and mouth. Maybe invite him to a class at school so you both can tell the kids how to lie and twist facts to suit an agenda.

Edit ,oh and Tim tam, don't bother replying with the arrogant two or three word response, stivk your lying know all know nothing opinion up ya arse. Maybe suck up here a bit more, a guy like you could always do with some power at a forum like this, can't have anyone disagreeing huh.

Lol.
