I think we can safely say the whole team was terrible. Yeah the refs are shit but they have always been shit. But the amount of drop balls and lack of composure was terrible. Even with all the bad calls they could have won it but they shit themselves.

I find it funny that people think you need to do some sort of coaching apprenticeship before coaching 20s.

Like do you start at under 8s? Do you get criticism for not "doing your apprenticeship" if you start at under 12s? What about A grade, like is there a set of people who are just filthy when a country player retires and goes straight into coaching? "f**ken Damo, hasn't done his apprenticeship mate, it's f**ken jobs for the boys that's what it is!"

F**king hell!!! How many mental midget coach killing moments were there in that game?

Boy what a useless club this has turned out to be. After close to 50 years of me following this club, besides the 80's, we have shown that we are the weakest mentally strong club in the comp by a bazillion miles. This stench just permeated through the whole joint.

Jeez if I only knew back then as a kid, I would of just called it a day never followed this weak loser mob.

The point of NYC is developing juniors. Some of you blokes were the same ones whinging that Club Championships mean nothing when we were winning all those, now whinging that we lost a 20s grand final

Some of these kids are SG Ball players. Was a great season with the best players up in NSW Cup, then Dargan and Afualo injured and missing the blokes who are off playing Schoolboys for the finals.

Plenty of talent to develop

But too much ball for manly tired us ... i dont think any of that comes down to coaching really

I obviously have no idea about alternatives and what goes on in junior ranks .... but i reckon its a long bow to blame the coach for that loss

We obviously have the talent, winning matts comps, arrive alive comps (Westfield/Blacktown pats), consistently beating penrith in the battle of the west juniors, but something goes wrong on the way up the ranks. Has for years. I want the best person coaching these teams. Yes any coach can lose a gf, but year affter year im sick of meltdowns and chokes

In rugby league you only need a couple of blokes to switch off and they become passengers. And leaders at that age are too inexperienced to bring their mates back into the game.

This is why you see so many big swings in under 20s. Teams get a big lead and a few players clock off. Then because they're inexperienced they panic instead of switching back on.

NYC has always been shit footy. It's nice that we have a bit of talent though. Stone and Mahoney are guns.

I doubt the coach had anything to do with today's performance. Coaches don't win or lose games. Their influence is seen over the course of a season or longer.
