For the amount of ball we dropped, we did an amazing job defensively on keeping the score pretty close!!

Defence is what makes NRL players!! So while we lost, there is good signs some of the boys will make the step up!!

Boy what a useless club this has turned out to be. After close to 50 years of me following this club, besides the 80's, we have shown that we are the weakest mentally strong club in the comp by a bazillion miles. This stench just permeated through the whole joint.

Jeez if I only knew back then as a kid, I would of just called it a day never followed this weak loser mob.

The whole idea is to develop some quality players which we clearly have.

But too much ball for manly tired us ... i dont think any of that comes down to coaching really

I obviously have no idea about alternatives and what goes on in junior ranks .... but i reckon its a long bow to blame the coach for that loss

Its just funny to blame the coach because he was known as a big game choker.

Thought he did a good job tho - if mental midget akafolou doesnt tackle the winger in the air we win the game.

Personally I am convinced I saw Burty send a message out with the trainer 'tackle em in the air' - but nobody believes me except Rammy.

Cant remember seeing either them in the trenches at Carramar or Creatwood on a cold Saturday night, looking for talent or honing their trade. Sick of guys wanting to coach without really doing the hard yards, working their way through the ranks. Burt may go on to become a good coach, but today his team had a meltdown.

Anyone who has followed junior league for years must be quite alarmed when a team like manly can win.

I hate Moanly with a passion but they were good, their backs big, strong and elusive whereas our backs were running straight being easier to tackle. Their forwards held their own but our biggest problem was our errors in second half. Fatigue got to them causing those errors and it probably stems from them being a young team, so unable to train as hard as other older guys.
