WHERE IS THE CHAMP?

bahaahhahahahaahhaaah......

NSW won in spite of Pearce not because of. If Cronk plays the first 40 for the blues they lead by 20+.

Their attack after Pearce went off was much better.

Qld are shit.

Lol of all the flavours, why choose salt?

Is Corey Oates the worst player to wear a rep jersey? It's a toss up between him and Nate Myles

Nate Myles has been a phenomenal player for Qld for years.

He is just way past it now. So calling him the worst player to wear a rep jersey is just stupid.

They should have stopped picking him at the end of 2015.

I'm going to really miss Nate Myles swinging arms and leading with the head in his tackles.

One of Origin's truly great thugs played his last game last night.

Mylar key contributions in origins gone by was to grub it up and head butt merkins while real players did the actual work (and ruin the entire game of football by getting fights banned in the process).

When asked to actually play football this series he was found wanting

Ive been critical of Junior Junior in the past but geez he is consistently very good in season 2017.

Maybe Adam Reynolds should take note and get a dog up him.

Oates is the most overrated player in the NRL.

On another note: one thing you can say about Queensland - they won't shitbag their team after a big win.

The ref got them well apart and did not let it become the usual slog fest, with QLD winning the wrestle. He also let plenty go, swinging arms and forward passes, this also allowed NSW to run QLD ragged. I would like to think the tide is finally turning and NSW should clean sweep it this year, but that would be very foolish

Going for repeat sets is a sign a team has run out of try scoring options.
No it isn't. Going for repeat sets is building pressure and fatiguing the opposition in order to crack the opposing team and increase try scoring options.
I'm sure everyone was happy with not getting the repeat set on Pearce's first grubber and his stab in goal to Gagai on the full.
NSW dominated field position and didn't get a repeat set for the whole first half.

Outside of his kicking game, Pearce did a good job. If he stays, which he will, I think the strategy around who kicks when needs to be reviewed.

The two dud Pearce kicks were not just bad kicks but terrible options. Both times if he passes to Hayne we probably score. Also, if he is backing up on the inside we would have scored when Hayne put Morris away.

We looked a lot better when he went off. Down the right Dugan and Ferg were getting better ball from Maloney. Maloney was putting in better kicks. etc.

He is a good club player.
