At least the Dogs eat breakfast in a separate room at the hotel at away games. Seems to have worked for Kasiano.

Aaron Woods watching on to see what finals footy looks like.....

Shit game. Shit effort by both teams. Panthers tried to lose it. Any decent team flogs them.

But likewise any decent team flogs the Bulldogs. They threw nothing st Panthers

It wasn't a good display but we were missing Moylan and Merrin and the Dogs put a huge defensive effort in and frustrated us. They were still able to (apart from DWZ) keep the errors down and grind out a win. I knew we only needed 3 tries to beat the Bulldogs because their attack is so bad. The Tigers have a bit more attack so we need to show more with the ball next week.

We've actually won 8 from the last 10, which I definitely would have taken that when we were 2 and 7.

This utter rubbish is going to take us to the finals and keep Griffin in a job

I'm putting it perspective were we had a 5 day turnaround V the big "lets do it for Dessie" ambush.

The media leading up to this game (notably Fox) were riding it high for the Dogs all the short week, and were giving us the ignore attitude.

So a big "Fox you" to those knob jockeys.

We did what we needed to do,and we have the luxury to have a long 10 day break before we play the Tigers at home and for the rest of this weekend, watch everyone else kick the shit out of each other.

Without being harsh - and I can be harsh on Penrith :D - only one of those wins was against a top 8 side and that was at home vs Manly missing Jake T and with a 14-4 pen count.

So I don't think Penrith have played that well during that run but there are half a dozen absolute dud teams this year which has made it easy for the likes of Penrith and the Eels to rack up wins.

And yet we'll still beat Easts if we meet in the finals and you know it

Won't beat anyone else though

What you say is true but I had written the season off after the 2 and 7 start so the team deserve some credit for racking up the wins to get back in contention. People have overrated Penrith not realising we have to try and win in spite of our below average coach and also a forward pack that is erratic, unsettled halves combination and overall quite a young team. We actually have a better win/loss record at this stage of 2017 (10-9) than we did at the same time last season (9-10). Unfortunately the top 8 teams are a little stronger this year which is making it harder to get in the 8. We could potentially finish with a 13-11 (30 points) record and still miss out, so if they want to make the 8 they just have to keep winning. Even if we are just cannon fodder in the finals, this club has to get better at reaching finals regularly. We have an embarrassingly ordinary record at qualifying for the finals (something like 12 out of 50) and this has to change.

Also I think sometimes the criticism of Penrith's performances is heightened by the unrealistic prediction by many for us to win the comp. Are we seriously any where near as good of a side as the Storm or the Sharks? Obviously not, and that's no better shown by how poor our results have been against those two clubs in recent times.
