Refs really love giving penalties to the wrong team this year. Thats as bad as penalizing Storm for lashing out with the boot when the Tigers were holding his legs and not letting go.

Yep, there have been some bizarre penalties. I get that 50/50 decisions don't always go a team's way, but there have been a number of decisions against the team in possession that we would not have seen in previous years.

I wouldn't mind if they were consistent, but punishing the team in possession is rarely going to be a "consistent" decision.

I still think a lot more of the lost balls in the play the ball that could be part careless, part undue defensive pressure/stripping, could just be called "play on" (as in, pick the ball up and play it) rather than a new set of six either way.
