Goes to show the island teams are worth investing in... I hope the Tongans keep this same team for years to come... If they keep this up and the island teams follows were gonna have a very interesting next world cup

I think if this game is played on a neutral ground we easily win this. My worry is the crowd are going to play a huge factor just like the NZ game. I still think we can win but if we allow them to get some momentum going who knows what could happen.

Surely the priority is for a test match to be played in Tonga next year? I know the NRL funded the Samoa test last year.
Not a fan of that... Island teams won't gain anything from that... Playing in Australia and nz gets them more profit and sponsors and gate profits...

That's a pretty good assessment.

Lol are you for real? This is why the international game is so far behind every other international sport....we can't even organise a game in their home nation....im sure Tonga will make a shit ton of cash when they play in Sydney with 5 other nations

Yup, Tonga wont gain anything from playing a test at home that the NRL funding :eek:

Without the Kiwis! o_O
The Kiwis showed their 'pulling power' with a terrible crowd in Wgtn.

I just hope whoever wins ( I think it'll be England) doesn't get smashed by Aussie in the final. It would also be good if there was a decent crowd in Brisbane.

I'm hoping Tonga win this but then again we shouldn't underestimate England. They've been consistent this tournament and this should be probably the best game of the tournament.

I'm going with a 22-12 victory for England

Seriously, just how bad was the NZ side? Even Fiji beat them which most probably does not bode well for Tonga in this match.

I sincerely hope the Tongans get home but it's possible the form line will not stack up in favour of Tonga.

I agree. I thought fiji might have been good but it was in fact a pathetic nz that I was watching.. are Tonga any good? We will find out but I doubt a Bennett coached English will roll over like the Kiwis.
