Can you read? I'll ask for the info at the Knightshop next week. And you will get the information. Do you live in Newcastle? I do. Were you at the ground when 33000 easily fitted in with a few thousand seats on the western side still vacant? No. I was. The capacity is a conservative 33000 on the website. The ground is able to be ugraded to 40000 which has been planned for major events (world cup games etc. )

Wouldn't be too hard for TV to push both games 30mins? on a Friday. At least the early game could be heavily promoted as the family game of the round with major offers and incentives to get the whole family rocking up. No reason a family couldn't be at the game at 6:30pm

Fox 6:30 Ch9 8:15pm KO would work better maybe?

Wouldn't that late game be 7.15 pm qld time ? For first ,5 weeks

Newcastle spots like the stadium are basically 20minutes drive from most places in the area. Its a better venue and town for this timeslot due to geograghy and easier travelling routes. Unlike Sydney!

I don't get why Newcastle or Canberra or Wollongong etc .. havent jumped on board and just said give us all the 6pm Friday games u can ..

We will have a crack at them ..

It could work in regional stadiums

We don't want anymore then a few
Even tho it's considerably easier to get around Canberra then Sydney
It's still impossible for most people down here to get to a game kicking off at 6pm on a weeknight

Good idea for Newy and Canberra, but half our club is based in Sydney. It's a pretty rotten fixture for us.

No 6pm Game should be played at ANZ or Allianz ever on a weeknight.

Warriors should be given 6
Then the rest spread out between
Newcastle
Wollongong
Canberra
Townsville
Leichart
Central Coast

Crowd for the testimonial match will be interesting given the dreadful weather forecast (25-70mm rain)
As much as QLDers love a big event I reckon this has missed the mark. Australia's not big on testimonial matches like the UK is (at least not lately) and with the rain I reckon 25-30k is about all you'd imagine.

Anyone know how sales are going for Mudgee?

Agreed, I thought it was an odd thing to begin with. I was struggling to see it get over 20k. Anything over 15k with this weather will be great (and still a lot more than what the Roar are getting there this season).

The 8:00pm game being pushed back half an hour would finish too late. I got home from the Panthers Vs Manly final last year at 1:30am as it is.

You could overlap them but the TV people wouldn't allow it.

Tony Webeck (Fox's QLD reporter) says they were expecting ~27k but with the rain that could be in doubt
