How good was it seeing those 3 huge crowds. It just makes the games so much more enjoyable, the atmosphere at both games was incredible.

Hoping Souths win tonight. They're match against the dragons on a Sunday arvo in a couple of weeks could be one of the biggest crowds this year if Souths keep delivering.

FFA dropping ticket prices for its remaining finals after only 23k total went to the first 2 semis.
It will give some clue on the level of price sensitivity for sports crowds

They didn’t “drop” ticket prices at all

It’s $35 for an adult in GA for tomorrow night in Newcastle. Absolute horse shit pricing but still expecting a crowd of 25k

Reckon they will get about 20000. Which will be good anyway. Wonder what they are charging kids for entry or if they are charging kids?

Interesting to note that yesterday's crowd at Allianz is the 9 highest crowd at the venue in the past 15 years. There were higher attendances before then, such as the Socceroos WCQ vs Argentina in 1993, which was 43967. This was before the small capacity expansion to 45500
Of the past 15 top attendances in the past 15 years, 6 have been the A-League, 5 have been NRL and 4 were Rugby Union. Ironically, Rugby Union hold the top 3 places.

Of the top 9 in the past 15 years, A-League have 4, Rugby 3 and RL 2.
There has never been a 45000 crowd at the stadium. Take note Stuart Ayres and Alan Jones.

Seems like most people are willing to pay that price. That's hardly exorbitant for a finals match.

I wouldn't be so sure. I only bought my tickets yesterday and there weren't a great deal left. I'd be surprised if there was much less than 25K barring terrible weather.

We shall see. Remembering the Anzac Storm game was a sellout at 27500 yet 25700 attended.

Yeh, I can't see the Jets getting 25000 but anything near 20000 would be an excellent result.
For them anyway.

I suspect this is a consequence of higher membership numbers. More reserved seats sold by default and you’ll always have a few who can’t attend for whatever reason. Some kind of seat resale program for these bigger games might be a good idea in future.

No idea about the big block of empties in the corner though, that’s generally an away supporters bay, maybe a big group didn’t make it?
