2018 Crowd Watch

In the 2nd, 3rd and 4th years that the dragons moved 4 of their home games to ANZ, our average attendance dropped by 3k.

This year, we returned to our two suburban grounds. Over the four home games that we have had so far at those grounds, we have recovered the missing 3k average.

Will be interesting to see if this continues.

We started well and turned to shit 2015, were just plain shit in 2016, started well and turned to shit in 2017, and in all three years the attendance average remained static.

I don't have access to the first 4 for each season, but this is not exactly the first time that we have started well.

Which is why I said it will be interesting to see if it continues.

crowds at our bigger stadiums are .. surprise surprise .... bigger
get rid of F tard kickoff times & they'll get bigger still
Here’s a crowd figure for you
Sharks home games 2018 = 51245
Raiders home games 2018 = 48717

Same amount of games.

Surprise surprise smaller

You're a f**king school teacher ffs.
It's sad that you've had to have it emphasised to yourself. Not to mention your placement of spacing and full stops in simple sentences.
It's no wonder Gonski is beside himself.

See that is the problem I have with him calling himself a teacher, he damages my profession every time he posts here. I am not a grammar nazi, but when someone promotes the fact they are a teacher then misuses simple homonyms it makes all teachers look bad. I am not talking about a one off error or simple mistake, because everyone makes those, time and time again he uses their instead of there. I have seen it at least twice today.

May as well chuck in “they’re” while your/you’re at it.
I did CPR training for staff development day today, what training did you complete?

I'm a very happy relief teacher by choice. Finalizing my accreditation submission very soon. So far teaching Thursday and Friday for this week. Hope the CPR went well. I've got to do my WWC check soon. (5 years is coming up) The things we do!

I would not throw stones in glass houses.
Your hyperbole shows a weakness in character and decency. Lift your standards. It would be appreciated.

Btw Unforgiven; Do they play rugby league at your school?
Of course they do, we don't win many games though, too many first time players. One of my favourite stories was the day we showed up for our first game of the season and one of the new players pointed to the goalpost and asked "What is the giant H for?"

Lol. Some schools don't! Although I'm teaching primary in Catholic and Public. I'd say you are in high school? I'm concerned at the lack of rugby league clinics/visits over my time teaching compared to other football codes.

lol... some of the best teachers constantly make grammatical and spelling mistakes.. hardly the benchmark for what makes a good teacher. Anyway who gives a f**k why am I even getting dragged into this bullshit.

I'm teaching primary, Rugby League does some things well in my area, providing refs for the PSSA competition probably the best thing they do. It really does allow more teachers, especially female teachers, the opportunity to take up coaching a team when they do not have to worry about the added burden of refereeing as well.

In regards to school visits, I would like to see them be a little more proactive in getting themselves into the schools. They send out an email stating what programs they offer and then it is up to the schools to chase up getting them into the school. Other sports are a little more aggressive in this regard.

Mate I am a terrible speller, and there are aspects grammatically that I constantly have to check and self correct. I was more stirring stallion up over his constant promotion of himself as a teacher despite his grammatical failings, though if he was in my school I would hope not to see the misuse of homonyms in his writing. Over the recent holidays he and I have been arguing on and off in a number of threads, but I think he would agree it has all been fairly good natured.

I think in one thread I implied he was a fat, unfit, low level touch football player due to wanting to reintroduce the play the ball.

Absolutely . The face to face visitation is not used enough by RL development officers . I've seen union, AFL repeatedly in various schools. I also don't think they sell the virtues/benefits of the game well. The self confidence aspect is not emphasized and this to.my eye is where rugby league has failed to capitalize on in comparison to other less physical codes. I've sighted two rugby league visits in five years of teaching. It's not good. I do think leaguetag needs to be pushed big time. It should be a PSSA sport asap. Plenty of parents I've met are very keen to have their kids play leaguetag. Something the rugby league development people need to follow up on if they are fairdinkum. Otherwise the kids are going to other codes.
