Thursday 7:30pm I could get to the game easier than Fri 6pm and I have a family.

We differ. The Friday evening is the start of the weekend. Thursday is not! Absolutely no chance of over 23000 turning up to the Knights game on a Thursday night compared to Friday 6pm.

Different strokes for different blokes I spose? I know the bloke on the hill with his young kids was adamant they were no chance of attending any game after 7pm. And same with my situation and my mate and his kids (8 to 10year olds). Something to do with the kids going to bed might have a bit to do with it. Also travelling earlier home than later is a factor as well. Different strokes for different folks.

I think 6:30 would be a bit better at the very least. Nothing wrong with Friday just 6pm is a touch too early. Different demographics will have different preferences obviously.

Yes. 6.30 is good. And an 8.30 game afterwards pending where its played. You never know NZ may be used wisely? Miracles may happen!

Drop in seats are definitely in place, not a perfect solution but makes the ground look a little better for rectangular sports.

I hope we’re in the shadey bit! Toasty here today. Gonna be warm for the players in the first game.

Got to say mighty impressed with how the wa govt has managed the transport situation. Normally the northern train Line I live on goes to the city and the stadium is on the Armidale line meaning getting off, walking through to the other station and getting a different train. They’ve actually made it so they can put on special event trains and get a train on the northern line straight to the stadium. There’s also a bus I can get from near by straight to the stadium and public transport is included in ticket price. VerY smart for a change by our govt.

That’s the point, the time slot can work if it’s done right and in the right place. Market it as the family game of the week. Free entry for kids, cheap food options for dinner, loads of free kids stuff going on. Sadly we have little idea how to create an event rather than just put on a game. Big bash works really well as they play during school holidays and market the hell out of it as a must do fun family day out at the cricket, the results speak for themselves.

So the Friday 6pm breakdown for this year is

Newcastle x 4
Allianz
ANZ stadium x 2
Shark park x 2
AAMI Park
Mt Smart x 5
Lottoland x 2
Canberra x 2
1300 smiles x 2
Penrith

Seems like Newscastle may have been identified as somewhere that these will work?

MT smart makes up 22% of all of them, works there obviously.

Canberra seems like it’ll work ok.

So I’d say at least 50% of them are in places it shouldn’t be too bad.

Who goes to a football game with their family and talks to blokes about scheduling?

A guy that's very interested in the code and knows the value of asking such questions dopey ! I also chatted Ayden Guerra's mum whilst queing up for chips. She noted that 50 metre queues are a thing of the past at the Roosters games due to them having more than one outlet inside each food service area to serve the multitudes. By speaking to people you gain knowledge. Is say you havent done much of that as far as rugby league is concerned.

I chatted to Aiden Guerra's Aunt Hilda and she said that 743pm was the ideal time for young families.

Last time I was at Leichhardt and couldn't see the field, the drunk Panthers fan next to me told me that the Grey Gums now has 17 toppings for their schnittys
