I’d say this will barely break the 22k mark. Would like to see the western side. The lower part of it looks dismal.

The Cronulla GF crowd has proven to be a total bandwagon.

    No real fans.

Penrith not much better. This is embarrassing for these clubs and I am glad one of them is gone after tonight, for their own sake.

    Looks sub 20k. Holy smokes.

Ok edit based on western side shot. Might be a touch over 20k.

    Diabolical.

Not a lot of people support these clubs. Even less would travel across town to watch them play.

    Did anyone expect something different?

Two clubs that don’t actually have any fans.

Hopefully tomorrow can deliver; but wouldn’t be surprised at 40,000 tops.

I expected pretty much what has turned up tonight. Doesn’t make it any more easier to palate.

To be fair even if you played at Homebush the crowd wouldnt be any bigger

This is the impact of Friday night rather than Sunday afternoon

On a sunday arvo, there's got to be no rain, trains have to run on time, both teams have to be in winning form, with no injuries, kids have to behave, dog has to stop barking, then maybe, they might have a few fans think about heading along.

Yeah but 65K showed up to the GF! Doesn't mean much when they only show up once every 40+ years.

Been doing it better for years. Two Melbourne teams with 200 years history between them. Plus a lot neutral supporters.

Aside from random Souths fans, dont know if there's any neutrals tonight at the SFS.

It's great, Melbourne Storm have more fans than Cronulla and Penrith combined.
