Is it? Good weather, good time slot, winning team, first home game of the year. I’d have though 15-16k would have been a reasonable expection given those factors?

But your right, if it’s 18-20k then it shows cheap tickets do make a difference, though probably not enough to cover the losses of full priced tickets so can only realistically be occasional, rather than the norm. unless clubs are willing to live on less revenue.

winning team ?
the warriors have been major dissapointments for the last 5 years
one win last week doesn't change all that overnight.
& against arguably the lowest drawing opponent in the comp in the Titans
I had this game at 12K even after last week
to get 50% more then that , something has enticed Aucklanders out of their living rooms for this game

14,132 announced, looked like more once it filled up during the first half.

The Warriors did not have a crowd above 14,000 last year.

That's a good crowd against the Titans. Hard not to be disappointed after an NRL crowd is yet again overhyped and ticket sales massively inflated.

its an ok crowd isolated when everything is factored in
but yeah , who are these marketing clowns spewing out crap about 18K tickets sold etc

over to you Penrith & this supposed near sellout
I remain skeptical

Then Melbourne , to be fair , nothing out of the Storm just our own expectations
but gee
we continue to be fed rubbish

I’m sure many of those attending would have snapped up the cheap tickets and perhaps will go again later in the season.
But it is annoying when these big crowds get hyped and there so so.

Apologies if wrong thread - I'm new around here. Going to my first ever NRL game tonight and was just wondering what crowd is predicted for the storm vs tigers game and if i will be okay to buy tickets at the gate or if i should buy online?
I usually buy my tickets online but you can buy at the game..Will be a good game to go tonight as Billy is playing his 300th, Storm premiership Trophy ,World Club Challenge Cup and Minor Premiership Trophy will all be on display. Will be a very good crowd tonight and great atmosphere.GO STORM

Still 35 degrees here in Penrith. I suspect those on the Eastern side will only take their seats right on 5.30. Not many over there so far.

Still 4K above their last match against the Titans and beating all of their crowds last year is pretty damn good. With a couple of wins on the board I'm sure they'll start getting bigger crowds.

The Warriors did not have a crowd above 14,000 last year.

So we are told yesterday there are 6000 tickets left in a 30 000 capacity stadium, yet the crowd is 14 000.
WTF is going on with this misinformation?

no doubt its uncomfortably hot & thats had an effect
i don't doubt some of their ticketed members have decided not to get heat stroke & watch the game in the air conditioned comfort of their loungeroom or the adjacent Leagues club
