Regarding the Indigenous design, it just hit me (seeing the Manly image) that most of these clubs could/should be doing indigenous art versions of their own logos...
I think that's only suitable if the team mascot has some significance to the local indigenous culture (Sharks, Eels, Sea-Eagles, and possibly Storm). Seeing a knight or tiger in this style would be odd.

I'm not sure if this matters anymore. They already style the jerseys using colours they traditionally would never be able to use. Might as well make animals and mascots.

Kind of pisses me off that the Broncos are headed to Auckland for a big game, one that reminds me of Round 1 1995 and there is a chance to build their brand and they go neon.

What is this broncos shirt for?

Broncos have ladbrokes on the back of the jersey, due to NZ laws about advertising gambling, they usually wear their 9's jersey but as there was no tournament this year..

What is interesting is that those laws are in effect, but I saw a big skycity barrier in the background of the game. Maybe it only applies to jerseys.

I think that may be a bit different as Skycity actually operate in Nz with the sky tower in Auckland. If that's not the case then I'd say it's beacuse it didn't say 'casino' as Prometheus mentioned.

It's also why teams like us and the Storm can get away with wearing Crown Resorts over there because it's more advertising the resort and not the casino.

They have to wear a different jumper without Ladbrokes on it - and they'd already had the Nines jumper sorted so they used it.

Just commented to a fan watching the Raiders- Eels game last night at a pub : We both agreed that Parramatta may have to look to change their outfit to last season's kit as this year's outfit has only brought failure and is seen as a losing look. Not saying it will change their play but I suppose positivity or a change may be a good thing. Their current jumper has established a loser look like no other. Got a feeling Parra may have worn something similar in the late sixties. Not sure. But they were pretty close to cellar dwellers then I assume?

By that logic they'd need to change their jerseys most seasons.

Changing for form reasons is about the dumbest idea you've had.

You did read it properly didn't you! ? Their was a caveat to the suggestion and it was lightheartedly discussed on a conversation between two fans of the code. Both of us not Parra supporters but would like to see them go well.

On another note. I initially thought the Broncos kit was odd last night. After about five minutes I got used to it. The Gold jumper colour looked basically an inverse of their maroon based strip. It actually looked ok So I take back my initial disgust. It actually might be a better away strip look than their white based away strip version!

I think it only applies to overseas gambling references

Ha, ANYTHING is better than white away strips.
And yes, yellow is severely under used. I think 2012, when we had the yellow away (bananas) was perfect just needed to use maroon shorts and socks
