Im clearly in the minority, but i actually think the Cowboys jumper looks good...

I just wish theyd stick with something for more than one season.

I don’t think they’re bad and I’m not sure why the Storm kit is getting so much love, it’s hideous.

Judging by this, the yellow version is for members only, while the silver version is the main club logo so to speak

what does a members only logo achieve....
unless theres members only merch with that logo on it??

I think that is the exact reason, Im guessing the scarf, hat, etc in the membership pack will come with the gold logo, but anything bought from the general public will have the silver logo

I think the members only logo should have been used on the jersey and also made bigger to be consistent with the NRL logo. Would have also been nicer to have them further up the jersey which would mean the logos were further apart and entirely within the V's

Was at the Dragons Shop at the Leagues Club this afternoon and got chatting to the gent there - managed to tease out of him that the alternate strip is “like the heritage strip” and then he drew imaginary hoops on his torso. So hopefully they blood and bandages are back. Couldn’t show me a picture or catalogue unfortunately, they want to release it next month I think.

What exactly do you like about it Shorts?

It's a Cowboys jersey, it won't be clashing with any other, it's got an identity, something the club has been trying to do for years.
It's instantly recognisable, a lot of NRL clubs already have this in their jersey but we don't.
I liked the 2015 design the best, for the record.

There was so much potential in the last 2 years kit.

the grey jersey def needed blue shorts, the stripes across the chest of both needed to be more conventional.

That ISC cut was also actually pretty uncomfortable to wear compared to the previous iteration. The sleeves felt too long as well.

But it was still better than this new one IMO.

Out of interest, what do you like about this new jersey mate?

I love that it’s instantly recognisable as a Cows jersey. The bullhorns (like them or not) are a big part of our identity and were present on our most iconic jersey to date, even though they looked suspiciously like boobs.
These kits to me looks tough without being too plain and boring (like our 16/17 ones) while having a distinct Cows style to them which was also missing from the past 2 years. They’re not too cartoonish (ala Tigers away strip) and have superb sponsor integration.
I also love the fact that the home/away kits are basically just inverted versions of each other rather than going down the path of the Broncos who have a really great home kit but then a shitty plain white T-shirt away strip (seriously, who is going to buy that?).
Looking at the Cows ones I can’t decide which one I like more! Who in their right mind would overlook a Tigers, Broncos, Storm, Manly, Dragons HOME jersey in favour of the away alternative??

While I definitely take your point of wanting our club to settle on an identity and stick with it ala Dragons and Souffs, I just think after 25+ years that ship has sailed, holding out hope for that to happen is futile. We’re just not one of those clubs, and to be honest there aren’t many outside of those two who are.

Agree 100%. The more colourful inverted away jerseys the better. Some teams like Manly will naturally have the white jersey as the inverse. Roosters red jersey from 2 years ago looked amazing.

Imagine if storm did this as part of their "respecting our past...looking to our future" campaign.
