Even if he doesn't play at it, a player in front of him in an offside position played at it after it came off his head. It is offside.

In the case of offside, whether or not the first player that touched it actually played at it or not is irrelevant. Only the second player matters. If the second player plays at it, it's a penalty, if he doesn't it's accidental offside.
