I like the idea of the full team playing the entire 40 minutes for fitness purposes; score doesn't really matter to me. Griffin isn't suddenly going to become a better coach overnight. Being fitter than other teams will be important when playing Griffinball.

So where are our set plays? Everyone reckoned Maloney made us look great last week. In my most pessimistic nightmares I didnt think our side could play this badly.

A bottom 8 NRL side sent out their reserve grade side and are better in both attack and defence. Trials dont matter. But being humiliated by a reserve grade side for even 40 minutes says alot about how little progress we have made.

Im sure we will come out and blow them off the park in the second 40. But it doesnt change the fact we trailed at halftime to a side we should have put 40 on by that point.

I don’t think we have made a single interchange. Presumably a deliberate strategy to really push the fatigue levels. No wonder the Doggies started to get on top of us.
