2018 Trials

Trials dont matter. .

We need the fitness. The reason we finished in the top 8 last season despite Griffin having no clue when it comes to attacking structure is that we were fitter than most teams. I'll give Griffin that much. And it's pretty much the only way Griffinball is going to work: we do enough to nullify teams in the first half before running over them in the second. That is the extent of Griffin's football philosophy - brawn over brains.

So because this trial is meaningless results-wise, and because Griffin is hardly going to change his spots now, at least they are developing their fitness. Think positive!

If anyone thinks this is being treated more than an opposed session I have a bridge you might like to buy. Players are running at 1/2 pace.

Why would they show set plays when it's a trial ? it's quite simple when you think about. They were never going to show much of anything especially when the dogs put in their possibles.

Edwards taking notes from Moylan on goal line defence.

Hope he tackles harder come round 1.

Blah blah blah.

Our full strength NRL team is being touched up by a reserve grade side.
