I posted before. Norman and Johnson for example come off contract then plenty of good kids that in 2 years could push senior guys out so who knows what the market will look like then.

$1.2m will get us anyone. I will just enjoy watching him while I can he won't make even talk to us until after the season. So no point worrying yet
No it wont. Most star playmakers prefer to stay put as their clubs appreciate them and move heaven and earth to keep them. Anyone worth $1.2m easily has $1m offered from other clubs

Maloney is probably the best half ever to consistently have a club not give a shit about keeping him. Honestly. Clubs usually fight to keep any above average half. Yet Maloney has always been expendable.

In saying that about Maloney, the roosters admitted they shouldn’t have let him go.

Same thing happened against the Chooks.

It's not our fault as we cannot dictate what the other clubs do in terms of team selection, but it is a shame we didn't have a run out against a full strength opposition, if only for a half.

Still, as long as there are no injuries, it probably doesn't matter too much. We can't possibly play a worse first game of the season than we did last year.

Haha yeah.

What I meant was the flegg lost to what should have been an under strength Roosters team.

2 attacking sets from 10 metres out early on against a reserve grade side... looked the same as last year. Ending in an error over the line.

Edit
RCG strolls through off a basic flat pass. This should be a cricket score. But wont show anything in terms of how we should go in the real games

Annoying that we can play worse thsn ever but not really know how bad we are due to the opposition being so poor.

Kikau nice run with offload. Sadly to Wallace. Edwards ended up with it on last and offloaded straight to them

Only up by 6 after 20 mins. Not impressive at all. Although you would imagine Bulldogs will tire and we can fix the score a bit

That said, I will give our future opposition our basic game plan for the season, free of charge.

1. Edwards fields the kick, takes the tackle.
2. Mansour or DSW goes out of dummy half.
3. The other winger or a centre goes one out.
4. A prop goes one out.
5. a. If outside the 20: A second rower goes one out. b. If inside the 20, go flat along the backline, hope something happens
6. Bomb

The end :)
