I don't love LSU (due to the SEC) but I like Ed Ogeron, what a champion, and I do like Louisiana....True Detective is the best show of the last 5 years, so they are my team for the next month.

Is Wisconsin really going to beat OSU here?
This is why I hate conferences and love the Irish being Independent.
There is no way Wisconsin deserves to get into the play offs ahead of OSU even if they beat them here.
More teams should go Independent.

I think they would still put Ohio state in but Wisconsin and Oregon with strong claims.

Clemson will probably steam role now. I just think Trevor Lawrence is going to be a big game player and delivers when it matters.

Clemson have beat no one all season albeit they have crushed most opponents.

I think LSU wins. They have had the most impressive season in my time watching college football beating 5 top 10 ranked opponents.

The rose and sugar bowls look great as well with 6v8 and 5v7 respectively.

If anything this at least proves that the CFP is way better than the previous BCS set up.

Just imagine leaving one of this year's top 3 out of the championship game in that old system...

Hopefully they move to an 8 team playoff sooner than later with all 5 power conference champions, the best group of 5 team (as long as they are top 25 ranked) and 2 wild cards.

Based on current rankings that would have seen the following:

1 LSU v 17 Memphis
2 OSU v 7 Baylor
3 Clemson v 6 Oregon
4 Oklahoma v 5 Georgia

absolutely. i'd personally like to see a top 6.
With the top 2 teams being given the bye, and then 3 v 6 and 4 v 5
highest seeded winner players 2nd seed.

They'll end up just jumping to 8 teams anyways, which will also be fine, but i'd hate to see it expanded beyond that. Its very rare, in fact i dont recall its ever happened with a 6th-7th-8th seed could make a viable argument for being a top 4 team. Which is why i favour 6, most years 5th and 6th would be fodder but there are some years where they'd be a good shout

But yeah, a top 8 with the 5 power conference winners and the next best 3 works too
