If they want to count the crowd in the last 5 min of the first 2 games - maybe they should do the same for the last game

Total attendance over the eight games is what matters. Individual attendances mean nothing.

I agree. But why then is the NRL releasing individual game attendance figures? I and most people don’t see what value that brings. Doing it this way suggests they are trying to fudge the attendance figures. All they had to do is say the match day attendance was this, and just leave it at that.

So it's clear from this thread that we need to go back and reassess all historic attendance figures.

Anyone that turned up to watch a lower grade game was counted twice and therefore didn't count towards the crowd figure.

Why are some of you arguing about yesterday’s crowd. There was 41K there period for 3 first grade NRL games LOL no matter what counting method the NRL uses.

I’m one of those that opposes this Suncorp Magic round rubbish because it robs fans, particularly those who are season ticket holders of a home game.

Secondly a hell of a lot of people leave once their team or the game they want to see is over...ie as was evident yesterday. Once the storm v parra game was on the stadium looked empty as.

Lastly the crowds aren’t any better anyway as was evident on Friday night & yesterday. Both days well short of a sellout.

So besides a few locals that benefit I don’t see how that was anymore successful then any other standard round in the NRL. Parra probably wouldn’t have been flogged this badly had they have played at their new stadium.

You list this as though it's an argument against Magic Weekend?

Avg crowds didn’t suffer, clubs earned a Mitzi of revenue, nrl built its relationship wit Q’land Govt, fans who went had a great time. What’s the Problem?

Parra weren't the home team so why would it of been played at their new stadium?
They could've lost by even more at AAMI for all we know

Any team playing Storm this week was going to get a spanking, where ever it was played, eels just drew the unlucky straw.
