I’m a realist
In fact I’d say rugby league would be behind both AFL and Soccer in WA TAS VIC NT

Btw I don’t hate Perth the place
I hate Perth Red ever since he started death riding my club though.
:grinning:
‘I’m a realist’.
The most dismissive, throw away comment since ‘if slavery is abolished, the economy will falter’.

By the way, what I’m suggesting is that ‘realists’ get in the way of anything that would be considered progressive.
If we open a new market, it can only be good for the game. We don’t need to be number two in any given state or territory, we just need to expand our reach. 16,000 in Adelaide is better than 13,000 in Sydney because we might expose the greatest game of all to maybe 1000 new people.

Respond to a comment about slavery?
No, respond to a comment about expanding the potential growth of our crowds. I gave you a follow up post to explain my figurative language, because I’ve seen your form and knew you’d play this stupid out of context game. Are you really that literal, or can you not admit when you’re beaten?

Storm who have been premiers ,minor premiers , grand finalists and a top 4 team for pretty 10 years straight only avg about 15k

So Perth would want to have a LOT a loyal fans .

No they dont, they have avg over 15k for 6 of last 7 seasons
rl is stronger in WA than in Victoria, no reason to think we couldn’t achieve similar with success. As long as we avg more than 13k we’ll be adding more than some Sydney clubs. Sharks have only had more than a 13k avg once in last six seasons for example.

Well done Newcastle, great fans who deserve a winning team.

helps when more than half are manly supporters

Really doesn’t matter does it from a crowd attendance point of view? We should see it as a positive that having a club in GC is giving other clubs fans chances to see their team play. Titans do need to find those missing 10k or so fans from their inception years though.

Great Newy crowd. Biggest fan base in the league besides the broncos and unlike pretty much every other club they’re fans actually stick through the hard times.

I was at the game. I thought I was in Brookie, entire sections in maroon and white. Don't think Titans can take credit for that.

It’s bizzare trying to talk down titans crowds because of away support with how much Sydney clubs benefit from that. Sydney clubs get far more away support than any interstate teams thanks to having half the teams in the comp there. Ultimately all that matters is how many people you get through the gate. GC just happens to be a place where a lot of people already support a club but good on the GC if they can get these people to come along.

Also you would have know if this game was at Brookie because it wouldn’t have had 10K+ people there.

Gold Coast Sea Eagles?

Im sure a lot of away fans travel to the Goldie for a winter weekend break when their team plays.

There’s more Warriors and Broncos fans at GC games too, but crowd announcements don’t differentiate between home & away fans, just the total attendance

They can because if they didn't exist then those 11k people wouldn't of went to any game tonight, are you suggesting that a majority of the crowd actually made the trip up from Sydney?

Over time if the Titans find some success then kids will start deciding to follow the local team, and then we end up with a new generation of supporters.

And still shire boy won’t engage with the argument.
Do you honestly think that restricting the geography of rugby league will be good for the game in the long run?
If yes, please explain why you hold this view.
There’s a good boy.
