2019 Crowd Watch

You panthers fans really need to stop pushing this wheelbarrow.

Bankwest will have over 700k patrons for sport and concerts in 2019.
Panthers stadium will have less then 140k patrons

ANZ is the middle of Sydney and the large event stadium, spotless is an oval.

Not hard to see why people don't see it your way.
That’s fine coming from a club that has had the advantage of having 2stadiums built for them. Why didn’t they just pull Parramatta down, do ANZ and make Parra play there? Would have then allowed the money to be spent upgrading Penrith giving one stadium in the east, one in the middle and one in the true west!
Still it hasn’t helped Parramatta win anything in living memory!!

You appear to always conveniently forget that the Parra stadium rebuild wasn't just for the Eels.
Penrith stadium doesn't warrant any govt money spent on it.

It was the first time, and didn’t need to rebuilt if ANZ is!

So you are talking about the rebuild in 1988? What are you on about? Penrith Park does not have enough use to be upgraded by the government, just like Shark Park and Brookvale!

Yes. Burnt down and rebuilt for Parramatta.
If ANZ was rebuilt as a rectangular ground it would not have been necessary to redo Parramatta. It was suitable for Rugby league. An upgraded Penrith would have been suitable for both rugby league and soccer for a team that is supposed to be West Sydney not Parramatta.
Anyway we will obviously never agree, you’re an Eel and I’m a Panther and we are ‘mortal enemies’.
Let’s leave it there and move on as this is supposed to be a crowd watch thread.

There is no soccer team in Penrith, no other NRL club would use a ground in Penrith, there is no NSW government owned stadium in Penrith and ANZ and Bankwest have 2 different functions so there should be no stadium upgrade in Penrith!

I mean, theoretically you could build two more stadiums in Parramatta and have Bankwests' tenants split their matches between the three stadiums and have more 'tenants' at each stadium than Penrith stadium. It doesn't necessarily make it a great idea.

There is no reason at all to have the stadium in Penrith!

i actually don't think penrith stadium is that bad, just needs seats on the hills and maybe an upgrade to the corporate facilities and warm up / change rooms,

the question should be who is going to use the new stadium at homebush?
i don't think the dogs or souths will play there and the tahs have said they want to stick with bankwest.
tigers might because they like to whore themselves around but it would only be 1 or 2 games a year.

South Sydney have indicated via CEO Blake Solly they will return to ANZ Stadium once it reopens in 2023. LINK
